"The food was okay, and the fries were good. The atmosphere is not great, the oversized menu is displayed so high you have to crane your neck to read it. There is only one table on the ground floor, so you'll most likely need to go to the second floor for seating. The tables against the wall are not centered with the flood light above it, leaving the person sitting under it in an actual spotlight. I do like that they are open late and the food seems to be made to order."
"Really unique menu makes me want to come back for more. The service was fast and friendly. I got my order to go so it was too late that we realized the sandwich we split was missing a couple items that were supposed to be part of the meal, so next time I'll order to stay and have a few bites before taking it home. What lost the star was that and of the 3 plain cheeseburgers not one of those was complimented or finished. However I would not base my rating on "plain cheeseburger" obviously it's up to the consumer to fix that however they want it. I'm just glad that's not what I ordered. The strawberry milkshake is amazing. I'd go to Fat Shack for a shake any day"
"This place used to be good. I'd stop by whenever my family and I walked past, because they Used to have the best fries in town. Not anymore! I paid $6 for "large "french fries that amounted to 1 potato. About a ⅓ the size it used to be. And, on top of that, they're made like any other generic fast food fries, not the special crunchy double-fried they used to make them. They should change their name to "Skinny Shack", and I should've listened to my husband and went to 5 Guys, instead. Looking forward to the new business which will grace that building, because they're not going to last running that way. Can't believe I tipped them."
"Fat Shack used to be good. The portions used to be, well fat. Not anymore. The portions sizes have gone down and the quality is meh. My bread on my skinny Philly was tough, the chicken strips were small and disappointing, 2 sauces were missing, and my son's burger was lackluster. For $57 we were all underwhelmed. The funnel cake bites and the Mac and cheese bites were the only things that were enjoyed."
"I updated the review to be more positive based on what the owner did to attempt to make things right. He made an effort. I appreciate that. But I still believe that offering a $10 gift card to iron things out to make someone’s review go away isn't the move, but instead a genuine one. “I am Sorry” speaks volumes to me. And when the owner did that I felt it was a big move. And just a FYI He did end up sending me a gift card is email which I refused to use. So that this review could be considered a genuine evaluation of this business. This is an unbiased and not a bought updated review. So Now this review is Just a warning ⚠️ to all who go there to be aware this may happen. “My review has been updated though I have kept the original issue in my review it does not Now reflect the quality of this company's leadership and ownership which I have discovered is Stellar and deserving of a “5 STAR REVIEW” They turned our negative experience into a positive experience!!! Original review updated review follows this one: We are Extremely Disappointed in the Garlic Parmesan Boneless Chicken Wings. Me & my girlfriend ordered 4 clamshells full totaling 24 pcs of chicken, and every single one tasted like they poured the entire salt dispenser onto it. It was almost like they battered it in salt. We couldn’t eat them without one smelling an intense saline smell and then after eating a few bites, we started feeling nauseous in our stomachs. The only good part of our order was their deep-fried Twinkie, which was Epic. So our dinner that late at night was splitting that. Update: 4/25/22 The next day @ 12pm I went back in to return the food and the employee at the counter said he’d get his manager after I explained to him my bad experience. She came out and said hello heading to the computer POS terminal to get ready to make the refund. I explained mine and my girlfriend's bad experience with the food the night before. She was polite and didn’t have a problem refunding us. But here’s the thing from working in management myself I always refunded the whole check when 50% of the order was wrong. But this manager only refunded me $40 and left a balance on my bill. But I had already left and didn’t want to turn around. So I wrote a 1-star review Unsatisfied. Then the next day the owner reached out to me saying they wanted to make it right and asked me to email them. I replied and said they need to coach their staff. They said they would be in touch with me after researching a little on their end about what happened. We’ll see how this turns out. **4/29/22 !!! UPDATE !!! UPDATE !!! UPDATE !!! OKAY, SO THE OWNER REACHED OUT TO ME AND MADE IT SQUARE WITH ME…. HE EXPLAINED THAT THEIR SYSTEM WASN’T WORKING AND COULDN’T PROCESS THE WHOLE REFUND…. WHICH MEANS THE MANAGER COULDN’T FULLY PROCESS THE REFUND, THOUGH THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED IN THE POS SYSTEM I UNDERSTAND THAT IT WASN’T A SLIGHT TOWARDS US IN ANY WAY. THE NIGHT WE ORIGINALLY WENT TO THE FAT SHACK 20 MINUTES BEFORE THEY CLOSED PEOPLE WERE CONSTANTLY COMING IN UP UNTIL THEY WERE CLOSING. SO I CAN SEE THAT THIS RESTAURANT OF A FAVORITE OF THE LOCAL COMMUNITY. WE WILL COME AGAIN AND EXPECT A BETTER EXPERIENCE MAYBE NOT RIGHT BEFORE THEY CLOSE DOWN TO AVOID EXHAUSTED KITCHEN WORKERS WHO JUST MAY MAKE A FEW SMALL MISTAKES LIKE WITH WHAT HAPPENED TO US. ALL IS FORGIVEN AND MADE RIGHT. OWNERS HAVE INTEGRITY…. THE FRIED TWINKIES WERE TO DIE FOR. Special Note to Owners: Again I wanted to reiterate that I am appreciative of you doing the right thing by taking ownership of my concern and issue I had while dining here. I was impressed, many times as a reviewer our words go unheard, so thank you for that. Thank you for hearing your customers.”"
