"I have always enjoyed shopping at big 5 sporting goods in my neighborhood. But today was an exception. Unfortunately when I was looking for snow boots and finally chose a pair and brought them up to the cash register to pay, they rung up $5 more than what the sign said. I pointed out to the clerk and we both walked over to the shelf and she told me the ones I picked out were not the ones on sale. Okay.. but there were 4 signs up and down the lenth of the shelves saying the same price. The kind of boots I got were all mixed in with the ones on sale. I pointed out a couple of other pairs of the ones I got dispersed among the others. ( the boots as far as I can tell don’t have brand name on them anywhere). The clerk was rude and implied I moved things around to get $5 off. She snapped at me as well. I still got the boots because I need them. Extra $5 was not the point really, just the principle of merchandising things properly and when a CUSTOMER points out a mistake in signage, being rude about it is not necessary."
