"Got the two piece fish and chips, the clam strips, and chowder to share. Everything was tasty. The fish was lightly breaded—crisp and not greasy in the least. Generous portion of clam strips. The chowder was a potato purée with clean clams—it could use a little more clam flavor, but was still good. Service: the person behind the counter was very friendly. I will eat here again."
"The shrimp and chips were really good, lightly breaded the chowder was good but my only suggestion would be to cook the roux a little more so not too floury the young man that helped us was amazing..can't wait to try more things"
"Matt took great care to make my crab melt perfectly! It comes with fries but for 2 dollars more, you can have clam chowder! I'm glad I chose the clam chowder! Thank you, Matt, you made a blustery day sunny! My new "to go" place at west Salem!"
"I decided to try the clam chowder today with going off a favorable review from a family member. I’m sad to say it was like eating a bowl of flour soup with the smallest pieces of clam. The soup had no potatoes no celery and no flavor other than the salt and pepper I put into it. Now my tummy is a bit upset. I’m hoping this was not a normal batch of chowder and was just made incorrectly but not sure I’m willing to give it another try."
"two of the tiniest, thinnest pieces of fish i have ever been served. and because they were so small they were overcooked. the chips were an interesting shape but too salty to eat, they got thrown away. others have mentioned the same experience to me."
