"The service was good and the staff was friendly but sort of indifferent. The place is not clean - brown spots on the wall by our table and their bathroom is in need of deep cleaning. If the bathroom is not clean, how clean is their kitchen? I had an urge to leave and should have listened to my gut, literally. I am sorry to say the food did not sit well with me and I got food poisoning. Today instead of working I am sick to my stomach. That was the first and the last time"

"I had been a loyal customer at Canton Grill for more than 60 years, so sad when they closed. But delighted to find Wongs, similar in many ways. Probably been going there for several months to a year. Started bringing a friend recently, we both enjoyed. So was totally blown away when I came for lunch today, waiter was very rude right off the bat. Practically threw the menu down, didn't come for my order for about 10 minutes, very unusual. His attitude was the same throughout. I ordered BBQ pork, had several times, always good. Had to wait a long time for his attention again, wanted to change to something else, as the pork was very fatty, seemed old, not good at all . He went on a tirade about how I'd eaten most of it then complained, not true, accused me of doing that before, also not true. I can only surmise that he had mixed me up with another customer. I had always enjoyed the food and friendly staff. Told my friend about my experience, she was also stunned. We won't be going back there, but such a disappointment to have found a place we really enjoyed, then have such a poor experience, both with food, which could have been forgiven, but certainly not the rude attitude. Will be sharing this with friends who first recommended . Word of mouth works both ways"

"One the best Chinese joints in Portland. Huge portions of high quality food. I like spicy and ordered Szechuan chicken. I asked for it to be very spicy. It came out just right. Orange chicken was fab. My wife had the broccoli beef. It was top quality but too mild for my taste. The pork lo mein was delicious."
