Reviews
"The restaurant was busy last night, but our server quickly got our food out to us. We tried the #56 Pad See Ew ( see menu). The noodles tasted sweet. Great flavor. The #37 green curry hit the spot for a depth of flavor. The pork fried rice and shrimp fried rice also were flavorful along with the Tom Kha soup #12. We have only visited a few other Thai restaurants in the greater Salem area that match Thai Beer. What do you all think of this place?"
"Ate here last night and now I have food poisoning. Will never eat here again and recommend nobody else does unless you want to be sick all night. My friend also got sick from their food. The Thai ice tea was terrible."
"I stopped in here for lunch on a Wednesday. There were 2 other tables with customers, so not very busy. They bring out soup after being seated which is really nice. The soup had great flavor and a lot of tofu, it was just barely warm, almost cold. We ordered salt and pepper chicken, crab puffs and chicken pad thai. The crab puffs were ok, also not very hot and the middle was runny. The salt and pepper chicken was really crispy and had great flavor. Some of the pieces were too hard and inedible, but not a deal breaker. The pad thai was terrible. When it came out both my cousin and I said why is it so red? It looks weird. It tasted weirder. The chicken was bland and over cooked. The sauce tasted like ketchup with extra sugar added to it. There were also no peanuts or lime with it. I have never had pad thai like that so maybe that's their version, and if so I'm sorry but I did not like it at all."
"Great little spot! My lady love and I went in for a late lunch and we were greeted with big smiles and cheap lunch specials. We were both satisfied with our meal choices, as well as with our delicious Thai iced teas. I like a bit of spice when it comes to Thai cuisine, and their hottest option didn’t disappoint. I was sweating by the end of the lunch date. The restaurant itself was quiet and welcoming. A little magic spot hidden in the Salem area!"
"The restaurant was clean and comfortable. Service was good. We got the pot stickers as our appetizer which was very good. My husband ordered the pork spare ribs and it comes in the traditional red sauce. He liked it very much although was still a bit hungry after. I ordered the chicken teriyaki and was a bit disappointed. The sauce was great but the chicken although it tasted good, it looked like it came out of one of those bags like the Tyson grilled chicken or Foster Farms grilled chicken it just looked too perfect like a machine had cut it. It didn't look like it was freshly grilled and sliced up. I guess not every restaurant can do that. I can't complain about the price the prices were good it was $40 for two with the tip included. Would I go back? Probably not. But it was okay."
