Jung's Mongolian Grill

"I went back to this place for the first time in many years for what I hoped would be a nostalgic time, but was unfortunately treated to some of the worst service I have ever experienced here. I’m extremely disappointed. I wasn’t very hungry but treating someone who was so I asked about the policy on to-go boxes upon arrival recalling they had a strict policy about single bowls only allowed to go boxes if you told the server up front and noticing the sign clarifying this policy was no longer there. The server at the front seemed to act like I was crazy in a practically hostile manner for this question stating they offer small courtesy boxes. I even apologized for the confusion saying that must be an old policy. During the meal I asked what the rotating beer on tap was and the server did not know and said she could get her manager making me feel like an inconvenience yet again for simply being a customer. At the end of our meal we were both offered to-go boxes unprompted as described. Then at the front I was told that because my guest went back for two bowls I would be charged an additional absurd $8, for the offending to go box and again treated with hostility just for trying to be a customer and patronize a nostalgic restaurant from my college days. I’m not sure what happened but Covid and the last several years have changed this place. It’s not friendly at all like it once was. I am thoroughly disappointed and may never return after how I was treated."

"Jung's Mongolian Grill is always a place my family will eat at in Eugene when we are wanting good stir-fry done right! The experience is all around nice, you pick out your ingredients with proteins and veggies of your choice from Beef, Chicken, Pork and Tofu, with all kinds of sauces to choose from my personal favorite being the Curry sauce, after you put it together you bring your bowl over to the cooks and they grill it right in front of you! I've never had a bad experience here, it can get pretty crowded and busy on the weekends though and the price is a little high but it's worth it and you'll get your moneys worth. I've never left hungry!"

"Love this place. Great food and friendly, helpful staff. I love the art and general decor, and it’s so fun to watch the cooks grilling your food right in front of you. Nice and clean, too, tho they’re a little aggressive about customer only use of the bathroom. But I highly recommend it, the shrimp was cooked perfectly and I even liked their lamb when normally I don’t. Surprisingly affordable, too!"

"Jung's is an amazing stir fry restaurant, I really love this place. Featuring amazing fresh food, all you can eat stir fry at an affordable price in a spacious and clean space the only thing you can really ask for here is more space in your stomach. I'm positive I'll be coming back here after the friendly and fast service I received during my last visit Service at Jung's starts with being seated. You will receive a bowl and drinks, and then head to the buffet line. Fill up your bowl with sliced meats, fresh veggies, flavorful sauces and Jung's signature noodles and then head to the grill. You can watch as the chefs fry up your order right in front of your eyes! From here more toppings and sauces are available to finish up your meal. The restaurant itself is very open and comfortable, I felt really relaxed here. The variety of options available was really nice as well. It's entirely customizable so you can pick and choose what you want. Service is incredibly quick because you pick everything yourself, and then it is promptly fried for you. I had my food within ten minutes, most of which was my deciding what to eat. The value is also incredible, as they'll offer you a second bowl once you finish your first. I highly recommend this restaurant."
