"I live close by and have given this place three tries for food. Each time I ordered a Bacon Cheese Burger. Poor quality, poor service. Just a place for some to come and gamble on the machines in the back room...sketchy!!!"
"Was looking through all the spots on maps for breakfast, and saw this place a few blocks away from me. Decided to go in early, check out what I THOUGHT was a shady lottery spot like all the others around here I was wrong. There was a full menu done colorfully in chalk, all sorts of Hollywood memorabilia on the walls, and only a small entrance to a couple lottery machines, nothing crazy. Their kitchen looked expansive. I got a couple of the ham and cheese sandwiches, added an egg to them because it was early. The food itself was above average, particularly in light of what I had thought the spot originally was. Bread was ultra soft, meat was good, right amount of sauce with lettuce and tomato/onion. Worth the money. I think I forgot to tip the woman, but will for sure next time, which will be soon. Edit November 2023: Try the Hawaiian Ham and Cheese! Hold the brown mustard, an excellent sandwich. Sweet."
"I ordered the Turkey, bacon and avocado on sourdough today. The bread was decent and the sliced tomato was good. The turkey was very low quality - you can tell because it was pumped full of water and gelatin and sliced too thick. The turkey was wet, slightly spongy, and kind of slimy. The bacon was ground up. I wasn’t expecting that - I was expecting real bacon. The avocado “spread” was just okay. The sliced tomato and the bread was good. I feel kind of sad for this place. My opinion if they asked: use better ingredients, personally I’d rather have better quality and less quantity for the money."
"I usually only leave a review for a place if I'm really impressed. Unfortunately, this is not the case today. My son and I wanted to get something to eat on our way home today, and I had read good reviews for this deli. I was not in the mood to cook due to a really bad headache. I was really looking forward to some onion rings, but they did not have any, or no longer serve them. My son ordered the bacon cheeseburger, and I the breakfast burrito. I asked for light gravy and fries on the side. We both ordered the orange creamsicle float, which was amazing! When we got home we sat down to eat. There was no bacon on the bacon cheeseburger. The second bite I took of my burrito had eggshell in it, so I opened it up, and noticed the egg did not look fully cooked (a bit runny), and no bacon in my burrito either. Half of the fries were burned, but I was able to eat about 5-6. I'm giving 3 stars for service, because although the woman did accommodate my requests, she made me feel like I was taking too much time to order. Mind you, this was my first time stepping foot in this deli. I paid over $35 to be disappointed. The only reason I will go back is for the orange creamsicle float."
