"We were so impressed, and my husband has travelled extensively in China several times. He says the bao is just as good!! And definitely some of the best he’s had in the States. It has the right bread to meat ratio and wasn’t just a big huge puffy ball of dough. We had the shrimp and pork bao. The wanton soups were also very good but the broth could have been a little more interesting. The shredded chicken with spicy pepper was delightful. The seaweed salad was authentic and fresh, no strange green dyes. The only disappointment was the mapo. We all agreed it was missing something and we think the cook might have forgotten the garlic and ginger. That’s how we make it at home, but maybe that’s the recipe here? We weren’t sure. It was the last dish out and late to the table so maybe they were in a rush. It has some nice spice and maybe even an anise pod, but still underwhelming overall. However, the service and bao made up for any shortcomings."
"I don’t usually leave reviews but Bao Bao house was so amazing I just had to! Me and my family came here for lunch and the food exceeded our expectations! The waitresses were extremely attentive and had such a friendly demeanor! When we walked in we were warmly greeted and quickly seated! We ordered the special beef fried rice and even my picky kids loved it! The rice was loaded with flavor and perfectly complimented the pork. The pork dumplings were soft, chewy, and delicious! They were a family favorite and we had to order seconds… and thirds! My daughter and I ordered the special beef noodles and loved them. The beef was so soft and melted in my mouth! The broth was very rich and flavorful and I couldn’t stop eating it! The noodles felt fresh and were so flavorful! The two waitresses working were so polite and on top of things. Our food came quickly, and there couldn’t have been more than a 10 minute wait. The whole family agreed that it’s by far the best food we’ve eaten all year and my son rated it an 11/10! I I would 1000% recommend eating here!"
"Great place for lunch. Very friendly staff. The baos, wonton soup, and steamed dumplings are phenomenal. I can tell when the owners puts their heart into producing delicious food. The dough work on the bao and dumplings, easily able to tell this place is making it by hand. The filling and meat is fresh and tasty. We will be back again. 讚!"
"Food is delicious, our family of four devoured the boa buns, dumplings and fried rice. They offer vinegar, soy sauce and garlic chili sauce on all the tables and the flavors were amazing. We arrived at 730pm on a Friday so they were busy but there were tables available and we were seated quickly. We waited a long time for service, like 10+ minutes. Our kids were losing their minds. They do have table service and when we ordered, it was my perception that the server seemed super annoyed that I was asking questions and wanted to adapt one of the dishes for our eight year old's picky palette. The menu is many pages and does not include pictures so I wanted to make sure the kids would be satisfied with the food. Once we ordered, the food came relatively quickly and it was VERY good. Everyone was happy and content. We would 100% return for the food."
"I had a really pleasant dinner here at Bao Bao House. We ended up ordering the BBQ pork, shrimp Bao and mapo tofu. Everything was good, if perhaps a bit underwhelming to my palate. I don't eat very much Chinese cuisine so I can't speak to the authenticity but it was all pretty evenly tasty. Optional vinegar, soy sauce and chili paste were provided on the table which helped spice up the dishes. Most importantly to me, the service was very good here. We were seated quickly, and the dishes came out faster than I expected and still hot. I would agree with what others have said that the Bao zi do take a bit longer to cook so keep that in mind. I didn't feel like it took that long however. The atmosphere is also very nice, it's a smaller restaurant with music that's not too loud. Because of how open the floor is it can be a bit loud, but I wasn't bothered by it. Overall, pretty good in my opinion but I also am far from an authority on Chinese food."
