"Employee at checkout was confused and non communicative. Insulation I was looking for was not available. General feel of the store was clean, respectful, and nice floor employees who could direct me fine."
"Waited with the cashier for nearly 10 minutes while he tried to figure out what it was that I had. It was two 2x3’s. He kept asking me to move them around so he could read the numbers off of them and put them into his computer. Finally after 10 minutes, he asked me, do you know what these are and I replied yes, they are 2 x 3’s! Not only was he very rude and didn’t even say thank you after I didnt(which trust me, I didn’t have much to be thankful for), but he was snotty and doesn’t have a clue even what 2x3’s are? Come on! Maybe it’s not your dream job, but can we please take a wee bit of pride in what we do. Your management needs to train these people, it’s embarrassing. Even other people behind me were thinking what in the heck is this person doing and his colleague, who was right by him didn’t say anything or try to help at all. Maybe Lowe’s has better service, we’ll see."
"They have switched to self checkout but have designed it in the worst way possible. There's no room to navigate a cart to the actual checkout stand. The aisles are full of displays as well and are effectively one way if someone has a cart."
"Large selection of products. Employee knowledge is pretty hit and miss, but that's sort of how it is at times. On my recent trip here in December 2023 quite a few employees tried to help me find a product which should have had 156 in stock. They couldn't find them anywhere, and figured back-stock was in the wrong spot. I settled for something similar which I found while we were looking. It helps to do your research ahead of time before you go in, so you have some backup options already figured out. Product selection is generally good, and the app is generally up to date. There are occasions where the app will be up to date but the product is above in the boxes still, so if you can't find it make sure to ask. Often employees will go looking for the product. If you I need to look for the product above yourself, you need to match the last digits of the SKU to the writing on the boxes above. There have been a few occasions where I've had to find the product above and then get an employee to help get it down. Overall, selection and services pretty decent here. The Home Depot has moved pretty hard into self-checkout and they have a self-checkout corral here now. Some people don't like the corrals, but in this case it looks like it helps funnel everyone through the same exit so I'm guessing it's an attempt to combat shrinkage."
"My mother & I stopped in here to pick up a Toro Ultra Blower, some clear exterior stain, various supplies for staining our fence as well as some clear epoxy. Always a pleasant shopping excursion at Home Depot. All the staff are knowledgeable & extremely helpful"
