"Issue #1: Don't sit a two top at a table more for a single with a good book. The table was a bit cramped! What a spectacular dining experience! I had a horrible week at work, and my husband decided it was time to spoil me. He did well. Ordered the garlic app, which was way too salty for me, but the husband loved it. I ordered the halibut, and he ordered the papradelle with braised beef. Initially, I was disappointed cause the fish was overcooked, but our amazing server took it upon themselves to grab a piece of fish being cooked for the owner and served it to me regardless. It was delicious and cooked perfectly. Issue #2: My only complaint us that the kitchen should cook like they do for their boss for every customer. We would appreciate a better beer on tap, but overall, it was a fantastic experience. Our server even brought "tastes" of their best red for my husband. We'll be back. Exceptional service, exceptional food. It's worth the wait and definitely worth the return visit."
"This was our second trip into Eugene and we’ve found another gem in Beppe & Gianni’s Trattoria! We were met and seated immediately and couldn’t help but feel the warm, cozy atmosphere. It quickly reminded us of a restaurant back home, which was a converted house turned restaurant. Drinks and fresh sourdough were just what we needed as we scanned the menu. We started with the Caprese, then it was a tough decision and we could see many solid options ordered by other guests seated nearby. My sister decided on the Capelli D’Angelo Alla Mediterranea and I went for the Pollo Saltimbocca. Both were spectacular and cooked to perfection! The heaping pile of prawns and scallops on the angel hair pasta made me jealous, but I thoroughly enjoyed my plate too. The sauce was delicious and the roasted potatoes were an excellent complement. Luckily, my sister shared some off her plate, so I can also attest that may have been the best choice! Our server was there as needed and not overbearing with needless “check-ins” and “how y’all doin’s?” Everyone we spoke with that evening was very friendly and we also noticed as they welcomed familiar faces with smiles and warm greetings. We ended the night by sharing both the Tiramisu and Carrot Cake desserts, made in-house. My sister said it was the best Tiramisu she’s even had! This is perfect spot for anything - date nights, special occasions or, like us, just a random Thursday. It’s difficult to find an instant favorite, but now I’m blessed to have found another in Eugene!"
"Honestly I was super excited to try this place. I had heard tons of good things from friends and the like. We waited for it to open, as advised by my friend, and were one of the first tables sat. We ordered the roasted garlic appetizers and received what looked to be a heavenly meal. It was not. The cheese itself was funky, which I can not blame as much on the restaurant, more on my preferences. The garlic was roasted, but uncooked so it still had a sting to it and not that lovely sweet roasted garlic taste. The bread looked well cooked, but the grill marks tasted like charcoal and the bread itself was soggy and damp. Then we got our entrees. We were both super excited, then very disappointed. My pasta, the hazelnut pesto, was bland and the pasta was slightly over cooked, giving the pasta a spongy soft texture. My girlfriend got the Cappelli de Voscovo, which she was super excited for. She was instead met with bland filling, and odd textured and cooked pasta shells. Overall, it was not worth the price but I’d most likely try again, as it has received so much praise."
"Wow!!! Best Italian food ever! So so so good! Our server helped us chose the best suited wine by letting us taste 3 different wines and I definitely loveddd my sweet red wine. The atmosphere is so warm and made us very comfortable. My husband and I will be back for sure! If I can give them 10 starts I would!"
"Looking for elevated yet homemade flavor? This is the place. Had the lobster, shrimp, with crab ravioli and it was amazing. Husband liked his pappardelle con carne better though, he's crazy. Crowded but service flowed nicely."
