Tailrace Channel Recreation Area

The Tailrace Channel Recreation Area is a park located at the south end of Toledo Bend Dam in South Toledo Bend, Texas, United States. This facility offers basic amenities such as trashcans and is suitable for day use and overnight stays for self-contained visitors. Activities available at the Tailrace Area include primitive camping, fishing, and access to a primitive boat ramp. The park can be accessed via FM 692 north from Burkeville, Texas, to River Road across from the Toledo Bend Project switchyard, approximately 0.5 miles southeast. The institution is managed by Steven Dougharty, Division Manager, and Ryan Pay, Assistant Division Manager.
