"This is a nice, but very small state park. There's one mile of hiking trails and canoe rental. After that, you're going to need board games. The park is relatively quiet and the mill pond campsites have great trees."

"This was an unexpected stop one weekend. I wish I were better prepared because the lake is best seen from a canoe. The day was cool and colder on the water and neither of us had the right clothing to stay warm for an impromptu canoe trip! Yet, even from the two access points we found, one for boats and the other a couple of piers with canoe rentals, the lake is stunning! We are definitely planning to return."
"Great place to visit. Largest natural lake in Texas. Beautiful bald cypress trees not found in many places. Amazing winter beauty. I need to visit again next summer time. Wonderful place for family vacation and camping."
"Well this place was definitely the high point of the holiday, great views on a lovely cold and still morning made for some great photos. We went during the week and it was pretty quiet so nearly had the place to ourselves for the first hour but I imagine it can busy at times."
