UNO Interdisciplinary Studies, located in New Orleans, Louisiana, is a university that offers a unique community for students interested in exploring questions and problems that span multiple disciplines. The School of Interdisciplinary Studies (SoIS) is dedicated to helping students enrich their personal, professional, and civic lives by synthesizing life and learning in practical and intellectual ways.

Whether you are a first-time student or returning to complete your degree, the SoIS staff will work with you to define the vision for your undergraduate degree and create an Integrative Learning Plan (ILP) that connects your questions, experiences, and goals with the resources of the urban research university.

There are six established ILPs at UNO Interdisciplinary Studies, covering a wide range of interdisciplinary fields such as human behavior, education, science, humanities, business, community leadership, and health. Each ILP journey begins in Greater New Orleans and can take you anywhere in the world.
