"Enjoyed the Magical Mystery Tour band at this iconic theater in New Orleans. It is such a beautiful piece of history!"
"I had not been to a ballet performance at the Orpheum since its restoration after Hurricane Katrina flooded the nearly 100-year old theater. It’s absolutely gorgeous and seeping with history! There are a few improvements like updated bathrooms and flexible orchestra-level seating. Be prepared - drinks are expensive. And keep your phone handy to prove the location of your seats. Halfway through performances it’s not unusual for guests to ‘reposition’ themselves for an improved view."
"Beautiful venue. Loved all the great places there were to read my book. It almost seemed at times the lighting would turn up brighter so I could see the pages better. Waiting outside for the doors to open over an hour was no problem with the cement thingy that I sat on and read the whole time."
"Very nice small venue for a smaller name band to come give a good show. Anywhere you sit or stand you will have a good view so I recommend general section and assigned seating. Tickets will be cheaper for these bands and will give you a more personal experience. I loved the walls and ceiling of this place because it’s very decorated. Entrance, bar, and restrooms are all clean and the granite walls, floors makes it cool."
"I booked last minute comedy show tickets and had never been to Orpheum Theater. Fortune Feimster is very funny, but I had no idea the seats were made for people under 5 ft tall. It was terribly uncomfortable seating when you are forced to twist your whole body towards your neighbor and legs/knees will not fit. The theater is beautiful and historic, but a renovation of the seating would be ideal."
