"We have 2 children at ELC (3 years and 6 months) and couldn't be happier! Our older boy has been at the center since Covid WFH ended, so about 2 1/2 years. He's bonded closely with every teacher he's had and is always excited to get back to teachers and friends on Mondays. We've kept the kids at ELC even after moving uptown this last year. Miss Lisa and crew always have fun events planned for the kids and their families!"
"Our child has been here for over a year now and we have been happy with her development. She looks forward to going and seeing her teachers and friends. The staff is always welcoming and friendly. They have incorporated lots of events and special things throughout the year to make it feel more like a family than a daycare. We feel we made the right choice in MCELC."
"After the long process of looking through the various Early Learning Center options in New Orleans my wife and I decided to enroll our child into Mid City Early Learning Center. We have been nothing less than impressed. Since starting we have noticed that our child's confidence has gone through the roof. She made fast friends. She is encouraged to learn and lead. I feel that the teachers really value the children and the parents. The staff goes out of their way to care for and teach the children. The administration is wonderful and professional. I would give more stars if I could."
"Disappointing. I believed this school was awesome. And it was - they were awesome as long as my child was "well-behaved." When he wasn't even quite two years old, he began exhibiting some toddler behaviors that are "bad." Their solution to his behavior was to either call us to pick him up or to RESTRAIN in a high chair. The latter had been done this so often and for apparent lengthy periods that he had a diaper rash/blistering in the shape of the diaper from sitting on it. After another parent ranted about my child, we met with the director who told us that they would work with him, and asked to keep him out for a couple of days for a break. Within an hour upon his return to school, he supposedly bit a child, we were called to pick him up, and told not to return until the behavior was under control. However, we were expected to pay tuition and were not reimbursed for the days he was told to stay out. When questioned about what we had been told by the director versus what was occurring, she explained that they had complaints...in the hour he returned...from other parents. My child became a marked kid. The director allowed this. It was apparent he was no longer welcomed. Be cautious."
"The staff is caring faith builders. They teach the children with love. The children happiness is confirmation of the quality at MCELC!"
