"I transferred here from another 1st lake property and living here has been awesome! Everyone has been nice to me especially the manager Paige. Neighborhood is so much better and the actual apartments are better also. The only complaint I have is getting maintenance to come fix anything does take a while but I understand they are understaffed. Overall I love living here. Thank you lost bayou."

"DO NOT LIVE HERE. First of all the place looks nothing like the pictures and they don’t let you tour for that reason. The place is an all around dump. Work orders take weeks to get done and you have to beg them to do it. Maintenance is terrible. For instance they had throw up and black slime all in the floor below me and it took calling them a few times to dump a bucket of water on it. It was still very noticeable. The acting manager, Chris, is the laziest person you ever met. Nobody is ever in the office and they always say they are the new office personnel coming in every time confronted about this. The apartments are infested with large and small roaches and you can hear rats crawling through the walls when you’re sleeping. The place is on a tilt because it’s so old and my dresser would always fall down because of this and my tv broke from falling off it. Also mold all over windows and ceiling. The place is in terrible condition and the neighborhood is terrible. The shower head had a huge home around it for critters to crawl through. 1170 for a 6 month lease for all of this was awful."

"Moved into a 1 bed 1 bath 3rd floor unit here in July 2021. Location is the biggest reason why I chose Lost Bayou and is probably the only reason I would choose them again. It’s located in a decent, quaint, and overall quiet area. The apartment itself was ample for me and I was able to make it feel like home, but honestly it is decent at most. It’s kind of outdated to be totally honest. For the price you pay I think it’s fair to expect a little more/better. But home is what you make it and it wasn’t bad at all. I left in October 2021 because of major damages due to Hurricane Ida. I was still expected to pay the full rent to continue staying in my majorly damaged unit. I felt there was a lack of adequate communication with the property management during and post-storm. When they knocked down the damaged walls, they didn’t notify me of when and it was frustrating being left with the mess they left behind after each time, feeling like I could’ve been prepared had they told me in advance. I’ve had to persistently call them to knock out the moldy wall in my bedroom which they forgot to do the first time. They had supposedly tarped the roof but it was leaking in several spots, streams on the downpour days. It was too much to continue dealing with and just unacceptable. I had to go and felt like they wanted me gone too. At the least, they refunded September’s rent and the security deposit through check via mail."

"The maintenance staff and property manager are amazing. The current maintenance person, Ash, and the property manager, Jessica, make an amazing team.. They are the best team here yet in my 9+ years living here. Both of them really care about the tenants as people and residents. They are always willing to talk to me, hear any comments about the property and act upon any needs that I or other residents express. This is a small community, which is pretty quiet and very safe. I love calling the Lost Bayou home."
