"This place its the worst to live in.... Tiffany the manager dont do her job as a manager of the 3912 S I-10 service rd nicole as the other manager same thing they are good on charging $50.00 on late fees when you dont pay on time ... but when you ask for maintance on apartment they only tell you WE ARE WORKING ON CONTRACTORS TO COME TO YOUR APARTMENT .... AFTER 4 MONTHS AND NO FIX THE GOSH APARTMENT THIS TIME WE ALL HAVE TO GET THE CITY HALL , THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT AND THE NEWS TO COME TO THE APARTMENT SO PPL CAN REALLY SEE WHAT TENANTS HAVE TO GO THROW..."
"I called to inquire and was offered a time to come in by Nicole for a tour. When I arrived Tiffany was awesome and led the apartment tour. She truly was knowledgeable about every question I had. The apartments are nice and property appeal was well maintained."
"I don't like writing negative reviews, but things won't get better for renters in NOLA unless we speak up. First off, maintenance staff was consistently great and seemed genuinely concerned for residents. I do think the office staff were trying, but they often seemed too comfortable pointing to corporate (1stLake) policy as an excuse for very poor service. I lived here from Oct '22 - Sept '23, these were my biggest issues: 1. Large crack in the ceiling that leaked during rainstorms from Jan-Aug (around 6 mo, see pics) The issue was initially caused by rough and careless roofers, about whom I had called the office to warn them. I believe there were efforts to fix it the crack over those months, but only the maintenance staff, not the management seemed to view it as a big deal. For example, at one point I was out of town and it rained. I asked management to check the crack to see if repairs had been successful, but I was told if they did that for me, the law required them to do it for everybody (Isn't that good? Aren't they concerned about their own property?). *It was only finally fixed after I told them I was moving out and the apartment had been pre-leased to a new resident.* 2. I requested a few maintenance items right when I moved in, but they were never fulfilled. It generally seemed that any request generated on the staff end (as opposed to the resident end) of the portal would vanish unaddressed. 3. I communicated to the office multiple times that I would be leaving earlier than the final move-out date and nobody raised any issues. On the day that I absolutely had to leave for a new job, I was told that it was "too early to turn in the keys." They refused to allow me to check out, so I ended up needing to pay $20 in postage fees to ship the keys to them on the actual move-out date. I hope that, if corporate policy really is the issue, 1stLake sees this and realizes the need to get more involved with residents. $900 per month rent is absurd when your roof doesn't even keep the water out."
"I been waiting over a month to get my window fixed. The leasing staff are very inconsiderate and dont even give you an estimate, or time frame. Anytime you need something small as a clogged sink fixed, the wait time could be weeks to months."
