"Stay far away. The management - is nearly impossible to get in contact with. - can't answer questions about the property. - messed up my lease multiple times. - left the doors unlocked for months. - says they'll get back to you and never do. - are rude. - will raise rent significantly while doing much worse. - will maybe send an email with 24 hour of notice of needing to enter the apartment. - pest control doesn't exist here. - will charge 'mandatory' fees for moving out no matter how well you clean it. The other residents - leave trash everywhere (probably why there's a roach infestation) - let their animals use the bathroom on the sidewalk and don't pick up after them. - like to party at midnight - have cops called way too many times to feel safe here. - leave ripped up packages in mailroom (stolen?, don't know) New management took over and did a horrible job. They messed up the leases, website information, keyfobs, etc. Nobody cares here and you shouldn't waste your time either."

"I lived at the High Grove for 2 years. The first year was great and had no issues. My second year living there was miserable because a new management took over. Everyone working in the office is useless, they never answer the phones and when you do get a hold of someone, they don’t know what they’re talking about. The apartment is infested with roaches (dead and alive) and trash all over the place. The trash room is constantly overflowed and the trash shoot was always broken. At one point, there were gnats that infested the whole second floor to the point where I couldn’t even stay in my own apartment for a week all because the trash shoot was broken for TWO months. The management team had zero concern and zero urgency when this occurred. The maintenance team is just as bad. They can’t fix anything to save their lives. My washing machine was broken for months before moving out because they claimed they fixed it but never did after putting in several work orders. I had mold growing on my ceiling in my kitchen area, since I lived on the 3rd floor, which took multiple months to finally fix (only because we had to keep calling the office for them to finally fix it). Residents were so unhappy, that multiple signs were posted just to express how miserable it was staying at The High Grove. I would not recommend this apartment at all. You can find somewhere else that has reasonable rent and a management team with some sense to them."

"Update: perfect place to have your packages stolen! Ceiling leaks when heavy rain. Roaches galore. Hallways smell and always trashy. Hallways haven’t been clean in 5-6 months. Requested cleaning in the hallways. They said it will be taken care of. But never did, lies. Dead roaches scattered everywhere. Flies everywhere. Gym is outdated and can get very hot; a/c seems to not work for months. Package lockers are full most of the time so your packages are left in the hallways in the open for anyone to take. Packages have been ripped open and stolen. Doors do not lock so anyone can walk in. Relatively safe place to live compared to other apartment complexes in Baton Rouge.Units are nice with new appliances but wish the rest of the complex is just as nice. There’s new management. The switch was not smooth. No notice of management change was officially announced. Accounts were deleted and new ones were not created. Maintenance requests are not available on the rentcafe app anymore."

"I currently live at high Grove apartments and it really sucks. Their management so so bad. I have Been seeing big as cockroach. Their trash room is always smells and it always full. Pool is never clean, I have been missing my mail lately. It’s bad over all and their rent so much. Please take my suggestion go stay somewhere else where is more cleaner. I have asked for pest control for couple times and no one has showed up."

"Don’t waste your time! There’s new property management and in the midst of that, our lease was lost three times and they assumed we were month to month which caused our balance to be over $4000. Got that squared away for now, but now we cannot use the website to pay our rent because of the lack of organization in the office. They are not helpful. They do not want to right their wrong. Also, the 3rd floor in building 2 always smells and the halls are always dirty. Update: No different. Everything is still dirty, the package room is always overfilled, and management still does not want to help with ClickPay causing us to use money orders. Oh and secured entry, but the door has been unlocked for who knows how long. Another update: Lease is coming to an end and praise the Lord. If a Justine(I believe that’s her name, she doesn’t respond to emails anymore) still works here when you move in, please don’t expect her to do her job. If you need any help, figure it out yourself. I’m also assuming water is included in some folks lease(not ours) so when your lease is up, water will come out of your security deposit. Oh and if you don’t like Cox internet, don’t move here because it’s automatically included in your rent now. And mold, and gnats, and roaches."
