Tru by Hilton Baton Rouge Citiplace

"TRUly the worst sleep I’ve ever had at a hotel. All night long I could hear people stomping around the floors above me and slamming doors throughout the hotel. Must have used cheap materials to build the hotel. I’ve seen people complain about the AC unit on here and it’s tru. I was hot all night. I give them 1 star because they have breakfast. If you like loud noises and hot temperatures then this is the hotel for you."

"I love Hilton Tru hotels. This location is really nice and beautiful and clean. The rooms were nice and clean as well. The parking was really good. The night time front desk person was okay but could have been more attentive. The day staff was great and very helpful. Would definitely stay here again."

"The young lady, I believe her name is Shantel, she checked myself and a colleague into our rooms on 11/14 as we were working in Baton Rouge. She was very accommodating, provided a pleasant demeanor and even provided gift bags with snacks and water. Their lobby is great, kid friendly as well. It's a great environment for winding down after a day's work. The mattresses are extra firm ( not what I am used to in a hotel but my back was pleased).. great breakfast with many choices of hot food items as well as a pretty neat pancake oven and pastries. Would definitely stay here again."

"We stayed her for a short term (1 night) stay and I wouldn’t stay here again in the future. Would I recommend? Maybe - but I’d explore other Hilton options around here first. The room door handles had finger prints on them upon arrival, so it was obvious that it wasn’t cleaned. The shower looked grimy; they should use bleach (I know this can be used because another Hilton I stayed at always used bleach). The biggest nuisance is the noise from the tv and conversations from the adjacent room that could be heard and peoples steps can be heard above us; the walls are super thin - the thinnest I’ve ever experienced at a Hilton hotel and I’ve stayed at many Hilton hotels (this one feels like I’m in a college dorm). For the money we pay, it isn’t worth it at all. The roadside noise is noticeable, but I don’t mind it - it’s not terribly loud…it’s like white noise to me. The beds are fine. Towels seemed fine. Everything else is fine. The service at the front desk is nothing to rave home about. The location is not bad either."

"I will never stay at this place again. Ive never been to a hotel that doesn't have a washer and a dryer to wash clothes. This was quite annoying because the reason for our stay was a soccer tournament so we resorted to having to wash the uniform in the sink with shampoo. We stayed in room 427. The toilet needs to be re-bolted to the floor because it rocks back and forth when you sit down on it. The beds were as hard as a brick. I noticed the room was warm when we arrived but i just turned the AC down. We were gone most of the day and when we returned at 8 that night i turned it down again. It wasn't until midnight that i woke up sweating and realized the AC wasn't on but it was set on 65. I would have asked for a different room but waking up my 3 kids to switch rooms at midnight was not an option. It was a completely sleepless night, and i will never stay at this hotel again."
