"I just moved here two months ago and had so many problems since move in day. The move in process was very hectic and unorganized. My move in time was 3:30pm-4:30pm and i didnt get access to my apartment until after 4:30pm. Before having access to the garage I was told to pay $125 to get the clicker. I was not told that I would have to pay the $125 on move in day. They said that all charges were listed in the portal and a garage fee was not listed. When I got into the apartment it was not what was advertised. The A/C did not work and the apartment was 85 degrees. The apartment could've been cleaned better. The floors and carpets were filthy and there were dead bugs all over the kitchen. The water pressure is extremely weak to where the shower takes forever to come on. Not to mention my roommates shower did not work at all and it took them 3 weeks to fix it. The dishwasher does not work. It overflows with water and maintenance still hasn't come to look at it despite my work order being put in 2 weeks ago. My unit also has a roach and spider infestation. All of these problems were addressed with the leasing office and they were useless. I DO NOT RECOMMEND MOVING HERE! I live in a 2 bedroom and it is not worth the $700 a month."
"In less than two months I have experienced too many issues with the property. Upon move in our air did not work, my shower did not work, and the dishwasher does not work. There is a roach and spider problem, and the power goes out way too easily. It took three weeks for my shower to get fixed, there was absolutely no water coming out of my shower. I was told that they would be focusing on air conditioning first, and since my issue was not important they would get there when they could. To pay almost $900 upfront to get access to the unit and be told the water not functioning is not an emergency is very frustrating. It has been 18 days since a work order for the dishwasher was put in and still no response on whether it will get fixed. Now I wait to see whether the roach and spider issue will be solved, or if I will be given the run around again. As far as amenities go almost none of the machines in the gym work. I do not recommend wasting your money here, it has extremely stressful living in theses conditions."
"Just went 2 months without a laundry machine because management was "waiting for a part". The staff is clueless and never gives you an answer to your questions. The manager is always "in a meeting" when you ask. Don't live here. Can't wait for my lease to be over so I can move out."
"I want to first start off by saying on move in day things started out a little rough, but the staff truly did all they could to accommodate all the students moving in at once! My sons unit wasn’t perfect, but if you look at it through the eyes of a college student, it’s not terrible. Yes, we did go ahead and do extra cleaning as our kids were moving in, but it really wasn’t bad. My son’s unit was out of air the first three days when it was 105 plus degrees. David, the only maintenance man on property, worked to help my son and his roommates and even came to the property at 10pm to try and help figure out the problem. Danielle, the manager, truly cares about our kids and things seemed to run much smoother this year than in years past! But, keep in mind, she can only do so much when the Venue is understaffed and especially the maintenance dept! The issue with most of these off campus apartments is corporate! Yes, I saw some units that were horrible and heard stories, but for the most part, The Venue isn’t as bad as many of the reviews make it out to be and I’m a very picky mom and pleased to say, my son and his three other roommates, are happy with there new home."
"Would not recommend. My roommate has had a hole in his wall (that the maintenance man made to fix a problem) for 2-3 months and no one has come to fix it. One of our friends had a blue tarp over his roof that leaked for 4 months. Our electricity was out when we moved in: both entergy and the complex took turns blaming each other. The floors by the model apartment are really nice, but they aren't like that anywhere else in the complex (they are cracked and can be very slippery when water gets on them). All the doors have peeling paint. We have a small silverfish infestation that is not fixed by the bug-control people. Parking can be far away depending on where your apartment is, and the guest parking is only on the 5th floor of the parking deck (no elevators) and on the weekends you have to get a pass for your guest to park there. It is hard to get mail here. Sometimes amazon can't figure out how to deliver packages to the Amazon Hub in the complex and the complex can't seem to fix this problem. The amenities would be nice, if they were open. There is a clause in the contract that they can take the amenities away whenever they would like. For example, the pool is only open Monday-Friday during business hours right now (except this Friday, since it is the 4th of July weekend, the pool is closed because the office is). We have had to buy a printer because their study room area (which included a printer) is closed. Upside: Close to campus. Gated parking deck/ entrances."
