"Most absolutely miserable place to live, save yourself and please don’t! Staff are all unhelpful college students who don’t know what they’re telling you to begin with, but don’t expect to literally ever talk to an actual adult about problems you’re having because they only take emails from residents and generally don’t respond! Don’t expect any problems to ever be resolved, and yes, there will be a new problem every week that makes you question why you’re paying rent on an outdated cardboard house. Don’t ever think about using the mail room, staff will look at you like you killed their dog if you ask them to do anything besides talking to each other. I was tricked by the cute little facade of all the houses and the two feet deep pool, save yourself and don’t live here. :)"

"MOST EXPENSIVE MISTAKE OF MY LIFE. They are CROOKS with no honor or compassion. I was given a disgusting room with roaches, paint peeling off every corner of the roof and ceiling, a dirty moldy bathroom, and the door falling off the hinges. When they refused to remedy the situation, I immediately turned in the key and paid hundreds of dollars to terminate my lease. They then continued to charge me for months despite me having no access. After battling them for months, I gave in to their endless threats and paid $5000 despite never having spent one night there. Now I am still locked into this contract and don't even have the keys! Anything good you have heard about this place is probably from before they sold the complex and changed the name. Most people I know who live here now have plenty of complaints. For months there were no lights, the security cameras were all off, the gates were open, and multiple car thefts and other crimes occurred. It may still be the case. The new management has been absolutely horrible and has done nothing but lie, steal, and screw everyone over. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE."

"As the grandparent of a young woman moving in this weekend, I was very disappointed when I saw the lighting situation. The parking lot had some light poles but they didn’t work and it was pitch black, not a safe environment, especially for young women. There were light fixtures on the stairwell but none of the lights worked and they were covered with cobwebs. One would think you would put your best foot forward for move-in weekend. Parents want to feel that they are leaving their kids at a safe place. The lighting situation did nothing to make a parent or grandparent feel good about dropping their loved ones off here. Besides the safety issue, the room was filthy!!! Do Better Lodges!!! UPDATE 9/14/2023 the stairwell finally has lights!!!! However; the parking lot is still dark."

"The lodges has gone above and beyond my expectations for student living. My first year living off campus was absolutely horrendous, so I had low expectations. The lodges has actual adults present and working in the office-which was not the norm where i came from.Their student interns are well informed and always helpful. Every time I have a question it is answered via email, their text message service, or in person fast and efficiently. They are kind and respectful and don't act put out when you ask for clarification about leasing or maintenance issues. The lodges is the best bang for your buck. The grounds are well kept and they have amenities that will please everyone. The gym is multi level, the pool is huge and clean, tennis basketball and volleyball courts are great for hanging out, the dog park and walking paths are a great edition, and the rec/ study areas are way nicer than other LSU student living areas. Lodges management does a lot of resident appreciation opportunities and has functional apartments. No incessant fire alarms, broken fixtures, dilapidated grounds, or multiple lost packages with no compensation."
