"Closest place in the French Quarter to donate your stuff to those less fortunate! Very secure, very pleasant experience overall"
"I stayed there once some years ago but not very long. The first few days were ok, but after that I saw that place and the staff for what they really were. I remember all of the staff names, etc. one night after everyone taken their showers a girl and her kinda younger female friend went outside for their last smoke for the night and the outsiders that they let come in whenever jumped the youngest girl! The shelter did nothing and the cops showed up late and did nothing as well! I was mortified by what I saw! On my first night there I noticed that they meaning the staff always picked on this one girl and made fun of her having pcos! A month or so later the female staff kicked her out with nowhere to go and she went killed her self because of how they treated her! The staff there have horrible attitudes. No manners at all. They play the residents against each other. As for the director, that person should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this type of behavior from the people that are employed there."
"You know all I can say is that they were there when I need a safe place to go and they helped me in every way they could. I will always remember The Covenant House in New Orleans. It was a saving grace if there ever was one."
"After reading the reviews, I believe someone is fluffing these ratings to lie to people about the safety of this organization! Run like hell before they take your hard working money!!!"
"please do not bring your children here or even refer anyone to this facility. The staff here are unprofessional and undertrained. They treat you like animals and do not keep your personal business confidential. They pick favorites amongst the residents and they stir up mess within the unit. I was assaulted by a staff member who still works there. She locked me in the office and physically assaulted me. I honestly don’t understand how this place has 4 stars and why it is still open. The male staff are completely inappropriate and I was constantly harassed by male staff and residents. Over all this place is a safety mental and physical health hazard. The definitely need to do some renovations in this program."
