"This park has been wonderfully transformed from a little used public golf course to a community park complete with 2 kids play grounds, baseball field, basketball courts, fishing pond, community garden, natural areas like a butterfly garden and some wonderful mature shade trees."

"One of my favorite parks in Baton Rouge, it's currently undergoing renovations for the pool area but everything else is accessible, such as the outdoor exercising equipment and the play areas on both sides of the park. This park is big enough to throw a block party, family reunion or whatever else you may put your mind to. Love this place."

"The park is beautiful and spacious. There are local gardens, ponds to fish in, trees that provide plenty of shade, and Pokestops for those that play. There's also a nice renovated playground for children to play in and a basketball court for the ballers. It provides an oasis in the city. Excellent place with family and friends."

"Pros: Large and Beautiful park with great walking trails. Great for family gatherings. Basketball, Tennis, and Volleyball courts access on Winborne entrance. Fresh Fishing pond, nice spacing on E. Brookstown entrance. This side has nice shady areas and colorful modern playground equipment for kids. Cons: playground equipment is fenced off and not currently accessible. Equipment is sturdy even for adults but the older larger equipment has dull dark colors."
