"This is a nice facility if you are already walking, jogging, cycling, or pushing a stroller along Capitol Heights. I wouldn't call it a "destination." There is a water fountain with, if I remember correctly, a water spigot for humans and one near the ground for animals. There is no shade most of the day. In the winter this can be a plus. In the summer, not so much. Oddly, there is no trash receptacle in the area so either don't create trash or be prepared to take it with you."

"This is a nice little space overlooking Ward's Creek. People forget that our walled canals in Baton Rouge are actually natural bodies of water. Or at least they were, until we turned them into a drainage system. This great little space offers a chance to relax after biking or walking the dog around the Capital Heights area. Since the bike path was put in on CHA, all I can say is WOW. It's like the whole neighborhood has come alive with pedestrians everywhere. The pocket park is a wonderful addition and a testament to the neighborhood's character and personality. Thanks to all who made it possible!"
