"Gross Savanne did not leave our group wanting for anything. The atmosphere is fantastic and welcoming. The staff even more so. The meals are off the chart deliciuos, if you leave hungry it's your fault. The guides...can't say enough. Hard fishing, informative, accommodating and friendly. One of the most, in my opinion, thingsvis the guide picks you up an drives you to the launch location. Giving you a time to talk and bond, instead of being just ask to "step on the boat"."

"The rooms are clean and comfortable. The lodge is in a pleasant location with very friendly staff. Every meal was delicious and I must recommend the bread pudding which is easily the best I have ever had. The open DIY bar adds a very homely feel. We were here to go fishing and they took excellent care of us. This is a fantastic location to fish, as a visiting Brit I found the different options meant I was able to enjoy a plethora of experiences. 5/5 for Gross Savanne Lodge, I will visit again."

"Beings that this is a private club, it's most definitely a unique experience. What's really cool is that the staff is super attentive, but at the same time they give you and your group plenty of space to just relax and be catered to. While hunting and fishing are usually the main attraction, what you actually experience there is so much more. Sylvia Hankin is the head chef there. Cooking is her passion, and her heart goes into every meal. She customizes each menu, everyday, and her meals NEVER disappoint. I highly recommend you go at least once...you'll most DEFINITELY want to keep coming back!"

"I want to say I don't do many reviews but I really felt that this deceived my time. I have been to many lodges and taken many fishing trips over the years from the top Mexican Bass lakes to fishing the Amazon. As the owner of a Big game sport fishing outfit in Costa Rica I know how hard it can be to keep things running smoothly. Grosse Savanne Lodge is on point. 1st thing to point out is the accommodations they are top notch. Now the food, When they served dinner I saw it was steak and I love a good steak. I asked for a steak knife as I didn't see one but they said not needed, boy it was true one of the best cuts of meats I've had in a long time. Now the guides, great guys very helpful and ready to please. Equipment boat, gear all perfect for the location. And the fishing was amazing. Went one afternoon for Redfish because never caught before and not only was it fun to catch but they cooked it up for us at lodge and boy was it good. Now for why I really came BASS! Make no mistake this place has a ton of fish don't think we caught anything less then 3 lbs and went up from there. Not very often you can do a top water bite all day but that's what we did . Morning was crazy action and we just kept it on top rest of the day. If you like true bass fishing at its finest Grosse Savanne Lodge is the place to be!
