"The most memorable parts were the great service by Mr. Brice, the bread pudding, turtle soup and the seafood pasta. Everything else that I tried was bland. I didn't try the red beans and rice or the jambalaya. There was no gumbo when I went to my disappointment. If i go back,it'll be for those items I named mainly. I had cocktail shrimp and the shell was sticking to the shrimp and they tasted like the bottom of the ocean. No mas! The indoor seating areas were roomy and bright. The live jazz was a nice touch also. Great experience though."
"If you are looking for brunch restaurants in NO I think this one will pop up in most lists. I don’t typically like touristy places and that’s why it has taken me years of visiting before I tried it but today was the day. The courtyard seating area is beautiful and if you are looking for pretty pictures this could be your place. During the day it is a set price brunch menu. Not a fan of buffet brunches so unfortunately was not a fan of the food, but that is my bias. If you like buffets it might be worth trying. There is one line if you want an omelet made and another for the general buffet. I waited in general buffet line more than 10 minutes before I got to the start of the food. I was there a little before noon on a Monday. I don’t even want to imagine what it would be like in a busy time. When I decided to go I tried for a reservation and apps said there were none but when I got there was seated in about 10 minutes. Again not a busy time but if you want to go and can’t get a reservation it might be worth just stopping by. I tried a variety of things and overall what I tasted was flavorful. Nothing omg amazing but also absolutely nothing that wasn’t good. There is a second line, much smaller wait, that has desserts, cold salads etc. dessert was probably my least favorite. Service was friendly and music was great."
"I finally made it to The Court of Two Sisters. It was a very lovely atmosphere. I was alone and did not have reservations, so I could not sit outside. It was a dream of mine to eat a pastry and drink a mimosa while sitting in the court. Oh well, sitting at the window, I guess, was enough. Joe, my waiter , was EXCELLENT and helpful to this northerner. I did not forget you Henry even though you did not have my table, you still helped me out. The live music was peaceful and perfect for brunch."
"I ordered the gulf fish with the shrimp fried rice. The shrimp fried rice was the best thing of the entree. This is a moist (sorry to those people who don't like the word moist) rice dish. The shrimp were huge, the rice had tons of flavor. I really enjoyed this part of the dish. I love fish. I just liked the gulf fish. The batter was good and had a nice flavor. The fish was mild. The pineapple sauce they use was actually really, really good. It just wasn't enough. I really liked the fish with that sauce. The fish without the sauce was just average to me. The wedge salad was really good. The bacon and tomatoes were perfect on this dish. The blue cheese dressing was excellent. Their take on the bananas foster was fun and I enjoyed it. They use brandy instead of rum. So it indeed tasted a little different. I still really enjoyed it, and much like the tradition of preparing at your table, the flames were fun. Bananas foster is my all time favorite dish so I wasn't disappointed. The service was excellent as well. Friendly, efficient, and professional. Overall, this is a place I will try again, just with a different dish."
"Absolutely perfect brunch to celebrate our anniversary! The food was incredible, the waitress was amazing and it embodied everything I pictured about New Orleans history and food culture. I made reservations a few weeks in advance and am so happy I did. The staff was so kind and helpful. I appreciate there are two entrances one from the French Quarter and one from Bourbon Street. This was really a memorable experience. I loved the atmosphere, the jazz band and really everything about the experience . I was able to try some new dishes to me like the duck a’lorange and the turtle soup . I purchased the cookbook as well to recreate the food and reminisce with my husband about the wonderful experience we had here. This was wonderful and an incredible value for how great the food was . This was definitely an elevated dining experience not a run of the mill buffet. Everything tasted like it was made with love and care."
