"We are staying at Le Richelieu right around the corner from Verti Marte. We ordered a mushroom mountain and added shrimp. The picture doesn’t do it justice as when we carried it the fillings slid. We fixed it. This was one of the best meals we have had in the French Quarter!!!"
"If you're in New Orleans and craving an authentic deli experience, Verti Marte in the French Quarter is the place to go. I recently had the joy of sampling their "All That Jazz" sandwich and garlic potatoes, and it was nothing short of delightful. The "All That Jazz" sandwich is a festival of flavors - grilled ham, turkey, and shrimp, melding harmoniously with Swiss and American cheeses. The grilled mushrooms and tomatoes add a fresh twist, and the whole ensemble is nestled between slices of perfectly grilled French bread. The standout element, however, is the 'wow sauce', a mustard-based concoction that truly lives up to its name. Although I'm usually not keen on mustard, this sauce was a game-changer, adding an unexpectedly enjoyable kick to the sandwich. The garlic potatoes were also noteworthy. While they were perfectly cooked and shaped, a sprinkle more salt would have elevated them even further. This sandwich, especially, is a must-try - it's a hearty, comforting choice, particularly great for nursing a hangover. Verti Marte offers not just a meal, but an experience that captures the spirit of New Orleans. Their food brings the city's vibrant culture to your plate, making it an essential stop for anyone visiting the French Quarter. Highly recommended!"
"My girls and I were craving a hefty sandwich after a pub crawl and our guide had told us to come here if that’s something we were looking for during our tour. Even close to midnight it was pretty busy but no one waited long and everything was done super efficiently. There’s a ton of different goodies throughout the store and we picked up the perfect end of the night bite. The three of us shared a sandwich and it was so delicious and fresh and we still dream of it. Wish we tried more."
"Best Po-boy in New Orleans. Get ‘all that jazz’ if you’re unsure which to get. It’s a small deli/convenience store, with nowhere to sit so be prepared to take it out and find elsewhere to eat. Best eaten fresh!"
"The "All that jazz" is just fantastic. It's a great, greasy, mess of a sandwich. I wouldn't have thought that the combination of ingredients would work, but it does. The only downside to this place is how claustrophobic the store feels. There's so little room that you feel like you're going to trip and knock the store apart."
