"I'm not a complainer, but my experience was not pleasant. Upon arrival, we were maybe the 5th table to be seated as they opened at 5pm. The room filled up pretty quick. We sat at an empty table for a good 15 minutes while guests that arrived after us were served chips, salsa and drinks. After asking our server and two other employees , salsa arrived 15 minutes later. It had a very odd flavor. Our food was okay, but not great. Our server was kind. We sat in the booth right in front of the door. The guests in the booth behind us constantly moved. The booths are connected so the back of the booth kept banging into my husbandback when the guests behind him moved. I finally swapped seats with him,, thinking I'd be fine. But nay... the bashing of booth backs continued the entire time we were there. I finally turned around and asked the guests to be mindful that someone else was behind them. They didn't care. This just wasn't a good experience and we will not be back. We live in Calhoun and had hoped that we would have a a close to home Mexican restaurant close by. Nope. We'll drive to West Monroe from now on. I suggest adding more spice to the salsa, ensuring guests seated first are served and the booths be changed out. Ask any guest who sits in them and I capromise e you they'll agree. Almost $100 dollars out of pocket and nothing to boast about :("
"It was a let down. Tamale meat tasted identical to taco and enchilada meat. Never encountered that before. Also, marghrita $15. First one strong and good. Second, less alcohol, way weaker. Still searching for a great place..."
"The service and atmosphere is still amazing. I will say that I've been to this place several times over the past 6 years and have never been disappointed. However this last visit a couple of weeks ago was different. Portions of sides rice and beans were very small. The rice was undercooked slightly crunchy. I did arrive right upon opening at 515pm. The pork tacos that I usually ordered were good but the pork had two different burned hard pieces in it that I had to place in a napkin to avoid cracking a tooth. The price is still expensive, I know they have to increase price due to inflation of goods, but for the price it was not even 3 stars. Hope to see better next time. I tipped the waiter well regardless."
"Fantastic service. The salsa and chips are great. I ordered the Mexican cornbread. It was good, but I personally would have liked more cornbread and less burned ingredients. My kids all enjoyed their meals."
