"We wanted some Indian food while in New Orleans and decided to give Namaste Nola a try. From the moment we walked in, we had very friendly service. We ordered the fish fry, and chilli bajji (pakoras). Both were excellent! We had the butter paneer masala and choley with roti and naans. The curries come with rice. Food was excellent!! Our family thoroughly enjoyed the curries. Our only ask would be to increase the portion size of three curries- the portions are more for a couple. It was not enough for all 4 of us (2 adults and 2 kids). Other than that, we liked the ambience and the service. Lots of food options and nice bar set up in the front. Will definitely visit again!"
"The service was excellent and there are several vegetarian and vegan menu options. My favorite part about my experience is that there were several dishes, appetizers and drinks that were unique. I've been to a lot of Indian restaurants and this was certainly a more creative menu than most. The atmosphere is fine but nothing special. The blinds on the windows were all closed, presumably to keep pedestrians from looking in from the sidewalk."
"Honestly, I had never had authentic Indian food before, but this place was attached to my hotel and smelled SO GOOD. We were there during Mardi Gras, so it was super busy, but it didn’t take long for someone to help us. We got sat promptly and given water. We asked the lady who sat us to give us recommendations and she was so kind. The food was AMAZING. It was also not expensive for the quality and quantity of the food. We found out later in the evening that the lady helping us was actually the owner of the restaurant and that she only has three servers and herself. She was honestly amazing and I definitely recommend this restaurant."
"Great service and even better food! The owner served us and gave us great recommendations. I got the Marsala and my friends go the butter chicken. Both were delicious. We shared the naan too which was a good amount for two servings and was perfect to dip in the sauce."
"02-03-2024 Went for an early dinner before my gig tonight. Such a friendly and welcoming staff. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted extremely delicious!! Started with an Indian lager beer, Flying House. For my entree I went with: Lamb Curry(Indian Spicy) with the Bullet Naan on the side. Very glad I stopped by today. Been wanting to come for awhile. If you are ever downtown and craving Indian food, you should totally stop by and eat at Namaste, you'll be very glad you did!! Much love, Maestro Giaccone"
