"Right on the corner of a busy street, I was expecting the food to be sub-par, but I was wrong. They serve delectable New Orleans type food! The service was good, our waitress was very kind. The fried catfish, oysters, gumbalaya, alligator bites, and red beans with rice were all so good. 5/5 would recommend."
"Great cost effective choice for dinner! The cheese sticks were amazing. The chicken pasta was amazing! The oysters were delicious. Shrimp po boy was amazing. The atmosphere was very nice. Kid friendly. Makes a mean whiskey drink for sure."
"We stopped by this pub around 10am on Mardi Gras. We decided to take food back to our hotel to avoid restaurant crowds. We took back two House Salads with Citrus Vinaigrette, a Spicy Sausage Po'boy, a Club Croissant Sandwich, and the Gumbo Deux (a cup each of 2 different gumbo). The bread was soft on both sandwiches, the salad was fresh and crispy, the fries were perfectly seasoned, and the gumbo was delicious. French bread and utensils were also included. Everything was packaged well for a 1 mile walk. I had a Moscow Mule to go. We are so glad to have stopped by The Corner Oyster House. The bar stools are very comfy and coushie. The bartender is friendly. The front greeter could smile a bit more but he was courteous. There are 3 clean restrooms: men, women and nonbinary. Worth the stop for take out or lounging. I am truly surprised at the quality of this pub's food."
"Was a busy Fat Tuesday night... food was delicious & we had a great time people watching! Restrooms needed tidied up..but again, it was hoppin!"
"I visited here on 11/29 and was immediately greeted by a pleasant gentleman . I ordered red beans and rice, which was a favorite of mine since I was young, My mom would not only cook this dinner on Mondays, but anytime she needed that break from the kitchen. My mom passed away in 2003, and even though I know how to make it, I never felt it was as good as hers. The meal was delicious. The season was just right, and the rice was well cooked, As I sat there enjoying the meal, it brought back memories of me asking for my mom for seconds, and I smiled. Thank you for a memorable meal.
