"A nice sunny day & we were able to enjoy their outdoor seating. Perfect spot for people-watching! Our server was spectacular! Attentive and friendly. Our food was delicious! We had a shrimp poboy... I'm not sure anyone in the FQ can mess up a poboy, but the best are made with the freshest of bread & this place has it nailed! Nice, cold beers. Clean restrooms. Definitely will recommend & plan to visit again! Update: still my favourite place to sit outside, enjoy a cold beer & soak up the sights & sounds & aromas of The FQ! Friendly & responsive staff! Cleanest restrooms in The Quarter... even had some nice fragrant high-end hand soap at the sink! Flambo is always on my to-do list when in The FQ, NOLA. They seem to close up sharply at 5, so plan to visit for brunch, lunch or afternoon snack."
"Stopped here randomly on our vacation in New Orleans, on 10/22/23. This was by far the worst restaurant we ate at during our trip. Even the beverages were bad. My water, or the cup it was in, had a funky smell. The other 3 members of my party had sweet tea. I don't drink tea, but they claimed that the tea was ruint. That's a word back home. I don't think it is a word in New Orleans. It had to be repeated several times before the waitress understood what was attempting to be relayed to her. Once she did understand, she replied, "It taste different because it's homemade," and walked away. Umm.... "different" and "ruint" are not the same thing. Tea acquires a distinct "soured" taste when it is allowed to sit too long uncooled, or if it is just added to daily without thoroughly cleaning the container. That's just on the drink side of things. Service was virtually non-existent other than getting the order and bringing the order. No refills. No checking on us. Nothing. One guy, I'm assuming the manager or owner, just stood in one place and looked at everyone like he hated us all and wanted us to die or at least leave. Maybe that's just his face though, so I don't count that as "atmosphere" for this review rating. The chicken on the chicken and waffles was bland. I'm not counting off for the mustard taste in the waffle because that actually makes some kind of weird gourmet sense and would be a preference thing. Look at the picture though. You have to zoom in to see the couple drops of syrup and no extra syrup is offered. Good luck catching the attention of anyone that has the power to bring more syrup. I am making this novel length. Let me speed this along a little. Eggs were bland, gravy had a very weird flavor that we couldn't place, the shrimp and grits was one of the top 3 nastiest tasting dishes I've ever eaten. Hmm.. I think that's it. There had to be a positive somewhere. Umm.... they are located on a busy corner and people watching was very interesting. Dude got hit by a SUV. Nobody was hurt. It was just a little tap. It was crazy though. So, I guess that's a positive for the restaurant. Entertaining location. Oh, and looking at the other reviews, it does appear that there are some menu options that they do well with. Try one of those if you're already there before reading this."
"This restaurant had so much promise! The menu looked so good, but we waited 40+ minutes for only half our food to come out. My eggs Benedict was subpar. The potatoes were undercooked and the English muffins were stale. The only redeeming quality was our server who was kind and patient. Working in food service is hard! We were as understanding as possible, but it's evident they're just understaffed. We hope to be back and give it another try!"
"The place is empty except for my cousin and I. Our server is so kind and attentive. We came in hot, from walking around, and in need of water and that’s the first thing we got after stepping in the door. The food took about 15 minutes to be served but it came out tasting and looking amazing, well worth the wait! We highly recommend for others!"
"Food was very good taste so yummy. Could have been a bit warmer. The coffee is delicious. We sat at the bar everyone is so friendly. Place is clean"
