"First time in NOLA and my friend recommended this place from a prior visit. The food was phenomenal, extremely fresh and flavorful, and so satisfying. The portions were just right, and I didn’t leave feeling like I ate too much or too little. The flavors were sensational. The service was outstanding as well. We were seated right away, and our server was very attentive and so kind. It was a great experience all around! I highly recommend!"
"One of the best restaurants in the city. Will be dreaming about the passion fruit flan for a long time. Service can be a little slow some times but it doesn’t ruin the experience. Highly recommend the red sangria!"
"Honestly my most favorite place on my trip in Nola! The staff was amazing, the food was amazing, best experience ever for me! The meal I got was a special which was a black bean soup, with avocado, corn, crispy pork (I would recommend they cook this in a skillet and char it vs fry it, some pieces were too crispy) plantain straws. I ordered a side of rice which I highly enjoyed. Being Cuban and from Miami, I appreciate the true Latin flavors added even into just the white rice. It reminded me of home. The arepas are amazing according to friends, it's all gluten free which is the cherry on top. The tres leches is PHENOMINAL and plenty to share with your group. I can not wait to come back here again! Also get the Guavayado drink, was very excellent!"
"A fairly large group of us from out of town on vacation practically stumbled upon this restaurant by accident. It was such an amazing dinner. In our group's recap of our New Orleans' culinary adventures, including a few $$$$ establishments, I personally found Maïs Arepas the most amazing find. Great food and cocktails were enjoyed by all. And the entire staff was incredible."
"It is a popular so it is better to make a reservation. I ordered fried fish. It was very delicious to eat a bit, but it wasn't completely cooked and I told the clerk, he said Shall we remake it? But It took about another 30 minutes, so we didn't need it. I'm sorry that all the dishes were delicious.Instead, desserts and beer were free and offered discounts. Just be careful as it is a dangerous area."
