"Great brunch, delicious food. Good service. Bottomless mimosas. Nice decor, wish their patio was open more. We had the eggs Apolline with candied bacon - absolutely delicious."
"We absolutely loved this place for brunch0! The pecan, sugar bacon was wonderful. The shrimp and grits was one of the best I've had. Our waitress was amazing, and her partner was great with the salt gun! The chicken and waffle was okay, but I didn't "love" the chicken thigh. Will definitely be back for brunch. Mom even left her jacket, and the owner brought it out to us later in the day when they were closed."
"Cosy place with excellent food. But we had to wait at the bar 45min for our reserved table to be available, and without any drink or appetizers offered while waiting. Most of what we ate was from good to very good, with a special mention to the shrimp and grits, the best I've eaten in New Orleans, and the bread pudding. Still a few things disappointing (tasteless lamb carpaccio, rough and dense chocolate cake). Great service, friendly and professional."
"Pork chop is to die for, my negroni was wonderful, and the ambiance is relaxing. Keith, the owner, is very welcoming. We were a big party, and they were able to attend to us quickly."
"Was super excited to visit Apolline for restaurant week and would have loved to give this place 4/5 ⭐️s but ultimately had to settle on 3. We had reservations for 7:00PM and were seated right away. We ordered drinks and shortly after that we put in our apps, entrees and dessert. We weren’t too impressed with the cocktails we got, but it was saved by the complimentary bread. The garlic butter was delicious! However I wish the bread wasn’t so toasted, it would have been better a little softer in my opinion. At 7:52PM we finally got our appetizers. Once those were finished we were told our entrees would be out soon. We didn’t receive our entrees until 9:00PM. Dessert came out immediately after finishing dinner, but altogether it took us 2.5hrs to complete our meal. While ALL the food was extremely delicious, we were disappointed in the service. Our waitress was nice and offered free wine between appetizers and the entree as well as bringing some additional bread. She kept thanking us for being so chill, but at this point we had started to feel taken advantage of a bit as other tables who arrived later than us began receiving their entrees before us. The manager was walking around delivering plates to tables but never once stopped by our table to chat. Had there been more transparency about the situation or even more acknowledgment, especially by the manager I would have been happy to give 4 stars. It wasn’t until we were walking out the door that the manager told us to have a good night and apologized for the wait. They did comp the drinks for us, but honestly we felt it was the least they could do. It’s really a bummer to have to give 3 stars because we really did enjoy the food, but that amount of waiting really makes a difference in an experience."
