"I really had high hopes for this place. I ordered an omelet, it was salty. My girlfriend ordered chicken and waffle and my taste but was screaming(what's this and where's the Gus famous fried chicken at)...tables weren't wiped be we sat down . You can clearly see the syrup stains on the table. I will never go back. But I will be having Gus chicken for dinner"

"Not sure why so many reviews on here are saying the food isn’t good because this is some damn good brunch. The shrimp & grits were FANTASTIC and the chicken & waffles with the hot honey sriracha sauce were also amazing! The grits are definitely a huge highlight and I think so many places don’t do grits properly but they do them perfectly here. Beignet bites were yummy too. I enjoyed dining here with my boyfriend, but could see how it would be hard for a large group since this is a small spot (also get there early or get a reservation bc you will have to wait!). Friendly staff & worth the wait for the delicious comfort food. The only thing I could even complain about was my potatoes being too salty but everything else outweighed that. I will definitely be returning! Thanks for a great meal y’all!"

"I love the paintings on the wall, it essentially pays homage to the city, I’m a sucker for New Orleans art work. The food was delicious, I have the waffles with berries on it, I opted out of getting it with the Brie cheese…I had a side of breakfast potatoes that was seasoned to perfection and a side of cheese grits which were also good. I 100% will be going back to support. Now, the only thing I will say is you have to be patient, don’t go there starving because it takes a minute, but do not let it deter you from checking the place out. My mom loves the shrimp and grits, I did not get a chance to try it, but I look forward to it."
