"Girlfriends day was a total success. The food was delicious, the drinks were giving and the Waite staff was awesome. And the DJ and the MC created an entire vibe."

"Best food in NOLA! Absolutely worth the wait. They had a super friendly staff and amazing sweet tea. 100% recommend this place. Pictures include seafood bread, file gumbo (meats: chicken, shrimp, and sausage), entree 1: Lamb with shrimp, baked potato with crawfish, fried onion rings and brussels sprouts. Entree 2: blackened salmon with Mac and cheese."

"I arrive with a party at six, and had to wait several minutes to be serviced at a partially empty restaurant. There were several employees that walked by, but no one ever said anything to us. We were all first time customers looking for the amazing experience that everyone had talked about. We were finally greeted but had to go through a registration process then we were told that we couldn’t sit inside the building because we didn’t have reservations so we sat in a heated outdoor area. Our server was really nice and informative so she turned our initial experience around. The food made up for the start of our service. We all enjoyed everything from the amount of food to the exquisite New Orleans taste. I would definitely eat there again however, now that I know the expectations, I will register ahead."

"I gave the value a 3 because I had to order extra fish as the portion size was disproportionate to the size of the meal itself. All other portions are quite large, but the fish portion is seriously lacking. We received 1 small fillet. The ambiance is nice, I liked the esthetics and flower walls. The waitress was patient with us as we didn't exactly know what we wanted to order prior to visiting the restaurant, and she checked on us appropriately without making us feel disrupted. The crawfish etouffee was a bit over seasoned, and the nachos ran out of topping though the bucket was full and pretty cool when delivered. The turkey plate was really good with the cabbage and yams, and the BBQ jerked chicken was "fire." Overall, it was a good experience, and I would return but would also order something different."

"It's definitely an experience. The food was great (I had the oxtails - could have been cooked a little longer to be more tender but still tasty); however, cornbread was literally hard as a rock (literally). Our waitress was a beautiful young lady but no personality at all. No interpersonal skills; I'm not sure if the priority was to be cute vs. hospitable. I think the closer you are to the DJ and host, the more you are likely to have an improved experience. Regardless of my limited opportunities, I still highly recommend even if it's solely to experience the host - he is AMAZING! Definitely would recommend it, and I would go back."
