"If New Orleans is about community then Dixie Chicken & Ribs is your go too. The chicken is song itself. Crisped to perfection. Locals fill the tables in this small restaurant and the food and beverage servers know the clientele from years of stopping for lunch. Worth a visit."

"3 Stars only because the Chicken is actually cooked to order and did come out hot and fresh. However it was painfully bland and tasteless with very little seasoning. Maybe it was just an off batch, but I was very underwhelmed. Especially after reading all the great reviews about how amazing the fried chicken was at this place."

"I knew it would be good when there was 2 NOPD patrol cars out front. Stumbled on Dixie completely by accident. Tucked in a neighborhood just off Canal Blvd, the restaurant isn’t big, but their food was exceptional. It is a small place, not too many tables and there was one wait staff. She never stood still and flew around that place like her hair was on fire, refilling drinks and making sure we were okay. I set my straw wrapper down, next thing I knew it was gone. We had chicken, ribs and onion ring appetizer. In our quest to eat fried chicken in every state, this place was great. Was a little worried for my wife about eating fried chicken in Louisiana (too spicy), but it was seasoned just right. Ribs fell off the bone, slaw and beans were good too. Glad we stopped. Memorable experience."

"The poboys looked good, but….. you know I had to try the chicken and ribs. The chicken was very fresh and crispy. Skin was perfectly cooked. The actually chicken didn’t have much flavor. At least needs more salt. The ribs on the other hand were amazing. Fell right off the bone. I will definitely be back to try more menu items. Staff was very friendly."
