"My mom and I came in to browse not long after the store opened (about two weeks after they opened their doors), and the treatment we received from the associates was absolutely atrocious. Specially, the treatment towards my dark-skinned, black mother. Not only did they ignore her despite greeting me, but two associates (one heavy-set and one with fake baby bangs) followed her around the store as if she were going to steal, not even trying to hide the fact that they were watching her, shooting her hateful, disgusted looks in the process. This is especially disgusting to see because the associates in question were also dark-skinned black women, treating my mother with the same BS colorist attitude black shoppers put up with and, being black themselves, they should know better. And I KNOW this was a color issue because, not only am I light-skinned, but I was also the one carrying the giant shopping bag from another store, which would've made it FAR easier for me to commit theft. The same associates that were pleasant to me were treating my mother as if she were a common criminal. My mother didn't even have her PURSE on her. The way my mother was treated at this store infuriates me to no end. This kind of shameful behavior stems from an ignorant, hateful mentality that these associates should be MORE than familiar with facing on a personal account. You should be ashamed of yourselves."
