"This local, black-owned barbecue joint boasts some of the best barbecue I have had. Slow smoked, lightly glazed meat portions with homestyle vegetables and sides. It is legitimately difficult to choose meats and sides! I especially enjoy their cabbage with smoked meats and the succulent sweet potatoes just the way I like them. My only complaint is that it's always cold in there, but with a whole staff constantly moving and smoking meats, they definitely need that air, so be sure you bring a jacket."
"We recently dined at Smoke Bayou Restaurant, and it was an unforgettable experience! The brisket was hands down the best I've ever tasted, perfectly tender and bursting with flavor. Even as someone who isn't typically a fan of chicken, I was blown away by how delicious theirs was β succulent and full of smoky goodness. We opted for the 4 meat combo, accompanied by sides of macaroni and cheese and baked beans, and every bite was a delight. The smoked flavor was expertly developed, elevating each dish to perfection. The ambiance was cozy, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Smoke Bayou is definitely a must-visit for any barbecue enthusiast. Highly recommended!"
"Delicious gumbo and banana pudding. Great customer service. Food came out fast. But long line..now I understand why. The atmosphere and food is so good everyone comes there to eat. Large portion sizes too. Worth the money."
"Eating here is like dying and waking up in a barbeque filled version of heaven. I would consider running over 50% of my loved ones with a Toyota Camry for the rib burrito. On our second trip a woman told us to get the boneless rib sammich with no butter. Sandwich was amazing but honestly, get the butter. Its delicious and a little butter never killed anyone. Meals are a perfect portion size to share between my husband and I and he is blessed that I am willing to share with him. When I die bury me in the gravel parking lot."
"Nice little spot to get some BBQ. The food was alright but nothing really stood out as a great dish. The hostess was friendly but it took a while to get the food. Not a bad experience but not a memberable one either. It's worth trying at least once."
