"Our server was amazing and did try to apologize for the environment. It was just myself and my daughter on a trip for her birthday. Staff were running around acting like two year old children. Throwing things at each other. And the owner was standing right there, allowing this behavior in front of guests. And allowing a group at the bar that were yelling obscenities and chain smoking like there was no tomorrow. It was ridiculous. Will not return. Extremely poor management. It made my daughter so uncomfortable that she did not finish her meal. And the food was extremely greasy anyway."

"Poor service tonight, which is disappointing! As a resident Jeffersonian, you kind of expect the "small town" gestures, but that wasn't the case on this particular visit... a handful of the staff, and even a member of management were particularly rude this evening. We don't visit often, but when we do, we're normally treated very well, with a kind smile or even a hug and and friendly "it's been a while" or " we haven't seen you in a while" and a great deal of respect and gratitude, but for some reason that wasn't the case this go round. Maybe we just don't need to visit on a Friday evening? Or maybe we just don't need to visit at all?!"

"Update: I had to come back here while in town! Again, service was amazing and food was too good! The portions are Texas sized and the drinks my brother had were legit. The young lady who was bartending was just so sweet and had great service skills! Was also very knowledgable. It wasn't yet busy when we came this time so I think that's why our food came out quickly. I'm giving the 5 stars because this place has been on my mind since the first visit! Will definitely be back for more! My husband and I came here a few weekends ago. I enjoyed the atmosphere of this place! The people and employees were pretty great and entertaining. Food was great! Good quality, hot and fresh when served! I took 1 star off because it did take what seemed like and hour for the food to come out, but that's not a deal breaker to not come back. Will most definitely be back for more!"

"Any time I'm visiting Jefferson, I always make it a point to enjoy a few rounds of beer at Auntie Skinners. Good prices, fine service and their kitchen menu isn't bad either."

"Service was pretty shaky when we first arrived. We had reserved seating for a large group but they weren't set up for us and seemed agitated to have to put 2 tables together. If you're not from the area, I'd advise against water or tea because the local water tastes very earthy. The food was good and the atmosphere is great. I'd like to see some live music there sometime."
