"03-11-2024 another great lunch: fried catfish platter with toast, house salad and potato salad. Also, living onions with mashed potatoes and mustard greens. Perfection. 11-15-2023 Another very good meal. Had the liver & onions, mashed potatoes, and very fresh, full house salad. My company had the meat loaf special & mashed potatoes with smotherd cabbage. I'm glad they brought back French bread with the meals. Would have preferred the liver to be thicker, but it was still tasty. I am looking forward to my next visit. 8-30-2023, another wonderful fried catfish plate with take a car and house salad. My guess had the daily special white beans with okra. Delicious as can be. Great food, good prices. 03-04-19 came back today four they're delicious liver & onions and mashed potatoes. Excellent"
"Great old New Orleans neighborhood spot. Order at the counter, fast service to your table, good menu. We had root beer, wines, fried chicken, soft shell crabs, and veal Parmesan, at our table. All ate it up. Desert was a lemon pie and a cheesecake. Patricia is a jewel and took good care of us. We’re going back. Looks like they do a big take out business too."
"The chicken comes out hot and fresh. I mean literally you have to wait 10 minutes for it to cool down. It's so hot but it's very crispy and if you like a little salty batter it's just for you. I have no complaints about the spot. I recommend trying it. Just chicken Was a little saltier than I'm used to but it has been a while. But it's worth checking out. They also have seafood options"
"Great old school lunch spot for us. We go about once a month and always good food at reasonable prices. The fried chicken is the bomb here. The fries are great too. The staff are always friendly and the place is always clean. Food comes out quickly too. Parking can sometimes be an issue during peak times but here is an open lot across Franklin if it's busy. Stop in and grab some good food from great people. Tell em Bart sent ya. :)"
"I’m from New Orleans. I was looking so forward to having a delicious oyster poboy. I ordered a oyster poboy dressed (lettuce, tomato, pickles, mayonnaise) add butter, with a order of fries. The oysters were very small (7) for a 8” poboy. The fries were cold and somewhat burnt."
