"We needed some breakfast before touring the WWII Museum. It was the closest spot. (Or so we thought) We walked in and were seated right away. The place is very nice inside. We ordered pancakes and a BACON po boy to split. The food that came out looked like it was from a high school cafeteria. Food from Denny’s looks better. The pancakes weren’t soft and they were very greasy. The po boy was $20 and the SAUSAGE (not the bacon we ordered) looked like it from a frozen box. I’m pretty sure the cheese was melted with a microwave. I had 3 bites of pancakes asked for the check (the server did not ask if anything was wrong or ask if I needed a box) I paid for this awful food and left. Don’t eat breakfast here. There are plenty of other spots around the city that a 100x better than this place."
"We stopped to eat breakfast after getting off a cruise. Restaurant was beautiful inside the hotel. Food was delicious. Better than any of the breakfast we had on our cruise. Portions were generous and prices were fair. We will definitely eat here again in New Orleans!"
"Service and atmosphere were great. Food was just OK. Ham, spinach, and cheese omlete was cooked a little to long, taste of over cooked egg and butter. Grits were nice and creamy, coffee was good, but French toast had a raspberry jam that had an odd taste."
"We went for brunch and had no trouble getting a table. Our waiter was attentive and kind. The portions are decent and a little on the rich side - you won't leave hungry. For lighter fare, the avocado toast is delicious."
"Cafe Normandie’s atmosphere is really beautiful! This resort just opened recently so it was not crowded at all, which gave us a nice, quiet dinner. I’m giving this a 4 star review because some of the rice in our gumbo was hard. We politely told our server, who immediately told the cooks, and we heard them say they were cooking a whole new batch. Other than that our food was delicious! I’ve never had mirliton dressing out anywhere (except for my mother’s at home) and it was so good! My husband even loved it and he usually doesn’t eat shrimp! Our server, Garyelle, was very sweet and helpful. Love this unique addition to New Orleans honoring the WWII era! We look forward to returning in the future!"
