"WORST experience I've had!! I will not go back to the Alexandria location! We went here for my 9 y/o daughters birthday because all she wanted was some steak! I called beforehand (hour or so) to confirm that they had steak on the menu. I was told yes absolutely! So we went for dinner. We get there, the lady who was taking our money was rude to begin with. Then we get our table. We go up and we go straight to the grill to ask when they'd be doing the steak because they were kinda just standing there talking doing nothing. We're told they have to go check to see if they even have any... So we go and get different food. Out of all the food there, the broccoli and the baked chicken were the only DECENT things we could eat..... We got ham from the grill, it was COLD... When going back for another slice of ham, I asked the guy if the ham was hot this time or at least warm, (with a glove on obviously) he slaps his hand down on the ham with an attitude and is like "Yep"... And very rude. My daughter went to eat her ham but when she picked it up, it had black stuff on it like it had been dropped on the floor or something. The salad bar tasted weird, the only desert items that were decent was the ice cream (I'm not sure how you could mess that up) and my daughter liked the cookies..... We asked for the manager because this whole experience was just horrible and we barely got to eat anything.... When we explained to her everything that had happened, she apologized and said she would address it in the future to the staff and started trying to crack jokes about everything..... Then told us the steaks were on the truck in the back and wouldn't be out and ready to cut and serve and all until the next day. And didn't really seem surprised with any of it. Disappointment is an understatement!"

"The food was not very good. Service was good considering we had 8 people. Atmosphere was busy but good people. The dessert was blah. And not much to choose from. We went for lunch on a Sunday. The lady up front would not let me explain I had a senior and wanted a discount. She kind of rushed me along."

"I recently dined at the Golden Corral on MacArthur Drive in Alexandria, LA, and my experience left much to be desired. While the staff was friendly and welcoming, unfortunately, that was one of the few positives. The atmosphere, particularly near the bathroom area, was disappointing. It had an unpleasant odor of urine that was hard to ignore. It's not the kind of ambiance you'd expect when you're trying to enjoy a meal. Worse yet, I couldn't help but notice flies hovering over the food, which is certainly not hygienic. This was not only unappetizing but also concerning from a health and safety perspective. Additionally, I found flies inside the women's bathroom, which is simply unacceptable. While the staff's friendliness was a bright spot, the overall experience at this Golden Corral was marred by these cleanliness and hygiene issues. It's disappointing when such factors overshadow an otherwise decent dining experience."

"As a kid, you think a place like this serves the best buffet, EVER! To revisit as an adult? Not so much. The breakfast cheesy grits were delicious. The eggs were yummy (but almost gone). The sausage gravy was very tasty! The hashbrowns were undercooked. I give the fried chicken a thumbs-up, along with the steak fries. Enjoy. I probably will revisit in 2030."
