"We are from Ponchatoula, LA and had come to Alexandria for a concert. Saturday morning we woke up wanting a family owned local business for breakfast, I am so glad to have pulled up Mickey’s Red Kettle on google. We decided to try them out and I give them 10/10. Their Chicken and Waffles are the BOMBBBB!!! Oh, and let me not forget the specialty sausages (jalapeño cheddar, Louisiana Crawfish, Louisiana Alligator, Pineapple Jalapeño) and bacon (jalapeño bacon), that will have your mouth watering and craving all the time. I had to take me a couple pounds of sausage to bring home because they are that GREAT!! They are such an amazing family and great business and service. No issues at all. When we come back to Alexandria, Mickeys Red Kettle will be the spot everytime !!! Support local businesses!!!"
"Food was great. Had the Alligator Swamp dog. It had crawfish queso on top. A+ BLT with hasbrowns was also good. Staff was friendly and attentive."
"We were driving from Baton Rouge to Shreveport and wanted a simple breakfast/lunch - not fast food. This place is just like a coffee shop from the 1960's, and has the best food. We both had a late breakfast. The sausage patties were home made and the best we've had in a long, long time. No Jimmy Dean sausage here. The hash browns have never seen the inside of a freezer. My biscuit was fluffy and delicious. It's worth getting off I-49 to find this place if you are looking for a good home-cooked meal."
"We had a great experience at Mickeys . We were heading home to Dallas and found it on google , decided to give it a try and loved the food. Evrything wasn’t cooked well , the alligator sausage was so good and the biscuits were so soft . Will definitely go back on the way to Florida next time ."
"Amazing restoration on an old, greasy spoon type restaurant. When it was still Lucille's, I ordered take out once a week, from here, , but one day I tried meeting someone for lunch and we planned to dine in. We left before ordering because everything from the floor to the table tops were sticky and greasy. I never ate there again after that! Now that the new owners have cleaned the entire restaurant from top to bottom. I could tell the food was cooked in either a new pot or a well cleaned pot just from the taste! I was planning to send a picture of both lunch specials: baked ham or jambalaya. Unfortunately, the baked ham was so good it didn't last long enough for me to get back in my to get back to work. I definitely be going back to ordering from here every week now that it's clean again!"
