"The chicken or ribs are the only thing worth getting. The brisket is way too dry with almost no smoke ring at all, and lacks flavor. The sausage is not much better. The staff is great and friendly my kids love the sides!"

"I took my son to eat here on 11-8-23. When we walked in we were greeted with great southern hospitality! The 2 gentlemen working were absolutely amazing. They helped us pick out food because we couldn't decide. I also got a gallon of sweet tea and they told me they make it fresh and it was some of the best sweet tea I've had in a long time! Also I can't say enough how amazing the food was, especially the peach cobbler! They definitely made our day and will be going back more often!"

"Really a true treat. The carver was an artist and knew that a chopped brisket does not mean a destroyed brisket. The food is delicious and in good portions. You get to serve yourself those delicious sides. My wife choose two different from me and we all agreed that each one was amazing. The iced tea was fresh as well. The entire staff, even the brand new girl at the checkout were kind, funny, and dedicated to a wonderful atmosphere. An absolute gem! We will be back!"

"Brisket and ham were really good !!! Mac n cheese also good. Best thing though was the friendly staff. Also a clean restaurant. I spoke with 3 employees. All 3 were very kind. Definitely recommend. I visited at 1pm on a Tuesday. Great visit will be back when I’m in the area"

"The potato salad was very close to the original recipe at this location and I miss that at the Baton Rouge location. Look how nice and tight the potato salad is. No heavy egg or mayo flavor. The beans were also good. The ribs and chicken were a little light on seasoning for me."
