"This is a great place for a picnic near the water. There are several song birds, frogs, and the local mini-mutt roaming about the grassy park. The actual beach is not spectacular but the wild critters don’t care. You may spot an osprey, bald eagle, blue heron or perhaps a river otter. If the tide is high, its a great place to float your Paddle board, kayak or even a giant inflatable unicorn on a hot day. If the tide is low, beware that the lagoon has a vey mushy beach and there is a substantial amount of broken chunks of concrete (rebar included) mixed in with the large boulders that line the actual shoreline. When the high tide first begins to recede the current will create a strong pull from the lagoon through the narrow channel. This can be fun if you are experienced in the water on your watercraft or it can be quite frightening if not. Please be gentle on the unsuspecting crabs and mini critters that are still trying to survive here. Once you are looking away from the concrete and muck the water ways and wild natural area are stunning."
"This was my favorite place to visit on the island. The moment I walk out to the water I got the “feels” something about the landscape and the views that just got me :) Just beautiful!"
"Still a new park, but the plantings are maturing and starting to look good. It's a small park, with no amenities, but the tidal flow is quite interesting: observe the difference by coming at high tide, low tide, and in-between."
"A nice little quiet spot. My kids enjoyed collecting sea glass and finding little crabs. There is one picnic bench/table and one park bench. The beach is rocky and silty."
"What a magical little secret! We'd stopped here a couple times, not knowing what it was called, but never thought to jump in because the ocean is just so dang cold... but it's warmer here and totally swimmable! When the tide comes in, you get a bit of a white water ride for a few minutes if you have something to float on, and before the tide comes in, it's shallow enough in areas to wade to the ankles or actually swim. Great spot!"
