Rooster Rock State Park

"We enjoyed ourself. Have to buy a day pass if you don’t have the yearly pass; which is not able to be purchased here. Enormous parking lot spans a large area of water frontage. Restrooms available. Boat launch. A few odd people letting their kids urinate/defacate outside.. Not sure what the deal is around here with things like this occurring in areas where there are relatively nice restrooms available.. A beautiful spot all in all, particularly for sunset."

"Great little stop while exploring the waterfall loop just a ways down. Quiet and serene this time of year. $5 card only entry fee per vehicle. Very clean park."

"It’s a fantastic park located along the gorge and 30mins from downtown Portland. There’s plenty of parking, couple of great piers and access to water for floating, swimming and kayaking when the water level is good. Great to bring kids and pets. The rock itself is also well suited for rock climbing with bolts and anchors setup along the face"

"Amazing facility in the nature for picnic, you can accommodate 199 people and more , there is beach there is a ramp for boats , there is electrical connections under the shade where you can set up your grills, there is a sink and water connection under the shade, a perfect kitchen in the nature, we enjoyed a lot. You will need an entry fee of $5. But the facility is worth it."

"Beautiful place. Nude beach but participation levels vary. The farther west you go the calmer and more "familyish" it is, but naked people basically everywhere. Lots of dogs, part of the beach is an off leash area. On a 102 degree day the water temp was great. You had to get through some muck to reach the water, so definitely glad I brought water shoes. Bit of a hike from parking lot to beach. Depth varies with water level, when I was there it was mostly waist-deep."
