"Beautiful nature walk with a great variety of different tree and plant specimens, varied terrain and ecosystems. We saw two bald eagles, ducks, a very territorial Squirrel and spawned out salmon. Lots of dogs being walked on leashes. They ask that you don't go off trails or pick/forage anything. Wonderful way to do a biology lesson for kids. They also have markers for children to follow that incorporates the book Where The Wild Things Are, sheets are provided in both English and Spanish. Absolutely a great way to unwind and get some exercise!"
"Beautiful"
"Actually an up and coming preserve as restoration efforts take hold. The trail affords a nice walk, but portions of the property are still rather stark. Bird watching can be good, particularly along the shorelines and creek. There is a nice salmon run in the late fall!"
"This is one of our favorite places to go walking. The people who take care of this area really care about our ecosystem and attempt to create an environment that fosters community with nature."
"I really enjoyed this place. As with many parks along these peninsulas you will have a vastly different experience depending on the tide. When we stopped the tide was super low so that you could walk way out into some of the jettys. Others were digging for clams or oysters, I'm not sure which. What I most enjoyed was the easy, simple loop trail that takes you through the marshy preserve with views of the water along the way. We entered at a small area that said public fishing which was less crowded than the main entrance to the south."
