The Shelton Family YMCA, located at 3101 North Shelton Springs Road in Shelton, Washington, is a gym and health institution that offers a variety of membership options. Youth/Teen memberships do not include Family Membership benefits, but an additional adult can be added to a Family 2 Membership for an extra fee. Members can enjoy all the great benefits of a standard family membership at a discounted rate, with access to both the Shelton Family YMCA and the pool at Shelton High School. Please note that memberships are only valid at Mason County facilities and cannot be used at other YMCA locations. "It has a good variety of equipment and a family friendly environment. Evenings are very busy so early weekday mornings are the best times to go."
"The staff are super friendly and helpful, the facilities are maintained very well, and for being a small gym they have a lot of programs and equipment, plus a decent sized pool. The main downside is having to take a short walk outdoors to get to the pool. In the winter it is not the most pleasant, but the pool is decently warm at least."
"Nice/clean/safe location to work out with various activities for my kids. Childcare while I work out is very helpful. The pool, basketball courts, and restrooms are great and perfect for families."
"Great set up. Plenty of machines, although I could wish for a few more recumbent bikes. The pool and the basketball gym are usually hopping, especially after school, but I've never found it to be too loud or uncomfortably full."
"Great staff. I'm very comfortable with leaving my kids in the Kids Zone/childcare in the evening while I workout :) I am also grateful they have corporate memberships. My workplace pays for us all to have family membership through the Corp program!"
