"I can't say enough good about this place. We adopted Duke who was a Doberman gladiator in 1991. He was about 8 years old but he contributed a lot to our family life and all three of my boys remember him fondly. Recently I needed to rehouse two male kittens that I ended up with. When they began overwhelming me to the point of kitticide, I turned to PAWS for help. I wanted them to stay together coz they were brothers, and -- just as with children -- they needed each other to be happy at that point. They were about four months old. It's one thing to separate them at two months old but at four months old..that's kind of rude. Thanks to PAWS, I was able to do that very easily. Actually, the girl who came to my new apartment to pick them up and take them to PAWS fell in love with my boys!!! I think she volunteers there."
"Very quick to euthanize. If you think any animal other than a dog or a cat has a chance to recover, ESPECIALLY BIRDS. it wont if you bring it here because they will just euthanize it and get on with their day. They do not like helping birds here. If your bird is ill in anyway they will just kill it."
"I adopted mr cat, Rascal (formerly Avery) from PAWS Companion Animal Shelter. I've had her for 3 years now and though she was formerly scared of everyone she is now friendly to me and gives me plenty of affectionate head butts. I named her Rascal because she is one. I'm now volunteering with PAWS."
"I got my poodle Karma (previously named Harmony) from this Paws a little over a month ago and she has been a wonderful addition to my life. They didn't discriminate because I'm in an apartment, which I appreciate so much. They also asked very thorough questions especially since my partner and I work full time, they really do care where the animals are going. She is now fully kennel trained, potty trained, and getting along nicely with our senior cat. We love her ❤️ and I will definitely come back here when it's time to adopt again."
"I had the most wonderful experience. We got the most well behaved puppy dog and we love him so much. We were gifted with food, a crate, a collar. I mean the love, support and conversations we had on the day of our adoption were so welcoming I will remember our 'gotcha day' so fondly."
