Reviews
"I have never written a bad review, but I am so disappointed in Nurturing Expressions. Like lots of expecting moms, I was directed to this company because of my KP insurance in an attempt to save money and order a breast pump that would be covered by my insurance. I received several automated responses during my correspondence with the breast pump coordinator. When we connected she sent over a ready to order email that included extra supplies I would qualify for when my deductible was met. I thought wow! This is great! I didn’t have that option with my first baby. We messaged back and forth about a c-section recovery garment, how I would need a prescription from my doctor, and the form I would need to fill out. I was completely unaware I was ordering the garment before my deductible was met. Unfortunately, I trusted Nurturing Expressions to be a guide for me and other moms to save money during our breastfeeding journeys. Instead I feel tricked. Before you order anything through this company, be sure to call your insurance first and ask questions about when you will meet your deductible, or wait until after your baby is born to place your order."
"I cannot tell you how nice it was to have a personal pump and breastfeeding guide. Without this place I would have really struggled with pumping, getting the right fit for the pump flange, and just researching pumps in general. This is the best experience, highly recommend!!"
"I would highly recommend a consultation with Andrea Chamberlain as part of any expecting mother (or birthing parent)'s birthing journey. Andrea completely demystified breastfeeding for me; everything from routines and techniques, to how pumps and bottles work. It was also a game changer to be fitted for pump parts that fit my body, and with parts that offer greater comfort. Without her guidance, I would have been set up for failure by using default parts out of a pump box that were not sized for me. In addition to her experience and knowledge, Andrea is a highly empathetic person who is sincerely passionate about educating her clients on the lactation journey. As for insurance, the store was very proactive to let me know what would and would not be covered by my insurance. I learned more in one visit to Nurturing Expressions than I had in weeks of reading and classes. Thank you, Andrea and team!"
"Andrea is amazing! So knowledgeable. My husband and I felt prepared before our baby came. I recommend having a consultation before the due date. Less overwhelming to have to learn everything all at once. I was able to manually express colostrum in the hospital after baby was born. Our newborn latched but kept falling asleep after the birth which is supposedly common. Andrea had helped me get fitted for my pump and showed me how to use it. I was able to get nursing pump bras, etc. The online care plan was also helpful to review again once we came home. We should be back soon for postpartum visit with baby."
"Andrea is a god send! Not only did she help me with my sons latch, but she also helped me figure out how to use my pump and get me fitted for the proper flange sizes, and did a weighted feed with my son to ensure he was getting enough during each nursing session. Nurturing expressions has been tremendously helpful to me and my family!"
